🎓 Scholarship Applications Are Now Open!

Our 2026 Scholarship will be presented at our 5th Annual Firefly Labor Day Scholarship Gala. This scholarship is designed to support and invest in students who are ready to take the next step in their education.

If you or someone you know is a graduating senior or currently enrolled in college, we encourage you to apply.

The Iota Theta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly honors Dr. Natasha Johnson, Assistant Professor of Science Education at the University of Toledo, with the Golden Apple Award of Excellence.💙💛

Dr. Johnson’s work as an educator, researcher, and scholar reflects a deep commitment to transforming science education through equity and inclusion. Her research amplifies marginalized voices and challenges systemic barriers to ensure that all students regardless of race, gender, or background have access to a high-quality science education.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her Ph.D. in Science Education, Dr. Johnson’s vision extends beyond the classroom. She is changing the climate of STEM fields and inspiring the next generation of scholars and changemakers.

It is with great pride that we present Dr. Natasha Johnson with the Golden Apple Award, celebrating her dedication to excellence, access, and empowerment in education.
