Why do we highly recommend ge***al exams for boys?
Because in the last 2 months, I have told 3 different families their son only has 1 testicle.

Family #1: Dad says (angrily), "I've examined my own son and felt 2 testicles."
Me: The right side is a hernia, not a testicle. C'mon bro...

Family #2: We're fairly certain he has two testicles.
Me: Has he ever had a ge***al exam before?
Family #2: No
Me: SMH

Family #3: We allow our son to make that decision, and he has always refused the exam.
Me: Are you going to let your son refuse the surgery he needs now?

We’re here to support you. Please take the time to discuss this with your son, and ensure he gets a thorough examination of his testicles/balls/privates/motorcycles.

Greetings folks!

If you've never heard of Sunshine Communities, let us shine a little light! It's a local gem in Maumee that provides exemplary, compassionate care for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Every week, Dr. Mike and Nurse Practitioner Michelle head over to check on residents, share smiles, and spread that signature CIC care.

This week's highlight? A spirited resident tried to pull Austin, RN at Sunshine, into some sort of activity with determined enthusiasm. Austin, clearly no stranger to surprise detours, continues with his report. Who knows? Maybe he's famous! It's unclear.

We are honored to be part of these joyful and genuine moments. Have a wonderful day!
