D. Jeffery “Jeff” Glore, 61, of Toledo, tragically passed away Monday September 8th, 2025. Jeff had a heart of gold, the biggest smile, and a laugh that will never go unheard.

Jeff was born on April 3rd, 1964 at Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from E.L. Bowsher High School with the Class of 1982. He made many friends, some that would last a lifetime, who would all confidently say he was full of life, character, and that he sure knew how to party.

Jeff has two beloved daughters. He welcomed Kasidy into the world on August 24th, 1999, and Jillian on July 12th, 2003. They were his entire world, he would do anything for his girls without question, and he made sure everyone knew how proud he was of them.

Jeff was known for his love of boating, hockey, and of course 80’s rock music — Motley Crue specifically. If you were with him on his boat, in the car, or anywhere with him you knew the music was going to be good, and loud. He always had so many stories to share about all of the concerts he attended, and whenever Motley Crue played, you knew he was singing along. The rink was his home away from home, when he wasn’t playing hockey he loved coaching too. He was on his boat any chance that he could get, going fast and never wanting to stop. If he could’ve driven his boat to the ends of the Earth, he would have.

Jeff had a spirit and personality that was larger than life, contrary to his tough exterior. He would do anything for anyone that asked, without question. He cared so deeply for those in his life. His work ethic was praiseworthy and never wavering. You could always find him on the weekends splitting firewood, fixing someone’s car, or just helping anyone with anything that they needed.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Betty Detzer, and Ken and Jean Glore; his uncles John, Jimmy, and Jeff Detzer; his great-niece Millie Warner; and his partner Jackie Wilcox.

Jeff is survived by his daughters Kasidy Glore and Jillian Glore; his loving parents Don and Joan Glore; his siblings David (Lana), Beth, and Daniel (Christine) Glore; Lucas & Kara (Glore) Maynard; Zach & Anna (Glore) Warner, his great-nephew Cole Warner; his daughters’ mother Maureen; and a community of friends and loved ones that will forever honor his life and love, including his dear friends Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and Mick Mars.

Jeff lived his life with his heart on his sleeve, his head held high, and a spirit like a “Live Wire”. His soul lives on forever and will never fade.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Walter Funeral Home (4653 Glendale Ave. Toledo, OH) on Friday, September 19th, for a Visitation from 4:00-6:00pm, Memorial Service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jackson Weis Foundation https://www.jacksonweis.com/donate-1

John Robert Medlen

Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and the best, most loving, doting grandpa any child could ask for, John Medlen, passed into our Lord‘s loving arms, September 1, 2025 after a nearly five-year battle with cancer. He never complained and remained positive throughout his journey.

Born to the union of William and Mary (St. Julian) Medlen on September 27, 1952, John was one of nine children: six brothers and two sisters. He was a graduate of Waite High School and a retiree of Libbey Glass. Known for his mischievous spirit and dry sense of humor, John had a way of keeping those around him guessing, always with a twinkle in his eye. His stories were legendary, often unbelievable, but always delivered with charm and wit. Those who knew him will remember him as a true character.

John was never one to sit around. He loved being with his family, whether it was golfing with his son, fishing, going to the park with his grandkids, attending recitals or sporting events. He even played Legos and coached baseball and soccer . John was always dependable, and his kids knew they could always call dad when they needed to. His card playing, which often included never even looking at his hand, had to be seen to believe. He was a loyal Tigers fan and could always be found on Saturdays watching the Fighting Irish! John also found enjoyment in going to estate sales and garage sales. But above all, he loved his family deeply. We will miss his infectious laughter and the warmth he brought into our lives.

John leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Cindy Hruska Medlen (married September 3, 1972), their three loving children, Maria (Bryan), Matt, and Melissa (Victor), and his greatest treasures, his grandchildren: Aurora, Delia, and Oscar. He is also survived by his brothers Arthur (affectionately known as Uncle Mick), Paul (Sally), James (Terry), and sisters Kathy and Therese. He is preceded in death by brothers Bill, Danny, and Don and niece Jessica.

Visitation will be held at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Monday, September 8, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary service at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee on Tuesday, September 9, at 10:30 AM with Father Eric Schild presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Victory Center, The Metroparks of Toledo, or a charity of your choice.

Kye Soon (Chung) Kazimir, 71 years old, of Toledo, Ohio and Gurye-Gun, Jeollanam-Do Province, South Korea, passed away at home on August 18, 2025.

She was born on September 18, 1953, on her family's property in Gurye-Gun, Jeollanam-Do Province, South Korea. However, typical of Korean culture, her family celebrated her birthday according to the lunar calendar, on October 21st.

The youngest of ten children, she was preceded in death by her mother Il Rae Bae and father B**g Gi Chung; also preceded in death by her mother-in-law Anna J. Koczian-Kazimir-Feher and father-in-law Laszlo J. Feher, who held an extra special place in her heart as not only in-laws, but as second parents.

She attended a local university in her hometown to study education and became a kindergarten teacher alongside her best friend K*m Ja Ok. They had many great childhood and adult adventures together and were embedded in each other's families throughout their entire lifetime.

She then traveled to the States to visit her many brothers and sisters that had already immigrated to America. During this time, she had met her husband, Béla Paul Kazimir, at an English language school on the Eastside of Toledo, Ohio. She then decided that she couldn't return to her home country because she had to be with the man she fell in love with. They married on November 12, 1977. She and her husband were blessed to live the American dream that all immigrants desire. She lived her life with faith, hope, and love; giving and sharing that with anybody that crossed her path throughout her life.

She was a highly skilled seamstress/tailor, working for a company in the South End of Toledo, then went into business on her own. She spent her life taking care of her immediate and extended family and never retired from that.

Kye is survived by her loving and faithful husband Béla Paul Kazimir; daughter Andréa Clarissa (Keith Edward) Brandt; son Béla Paul “BJ” (Chrissy Schultz) Kazimir III; niece Heekyung Jenny Kim (Yuran Chen); great-niece Gracey Yurina Chung; niece Hope Somang Min (Hoon Ju); and great grand-nephew Yohan Ju.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 2PM until 8PM at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614.

The funeral will be held at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614, on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11AM.

As we celebrate Kye's life, the family respectfully asks that, instead of flowers or tree plantings, you consider a contribution to support the family during this time of loss. The family is grateful for your love and support, and you are sincerely appreciated. Donations are being collected by Kye's niece and can be made via Paypal (insert hyperlink to https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/victoriakellymd if anyone clicks on the word paypal), Venmo (-Kelly-20), or Zelle (614-507-2526)

07/22/2025

Robert (Bob) Anthony Schlueter was called to his eternal rest early on the morning of July 15, 2025. Karen (Quedens), his wife of 58 years, was by his side. Revelation 14:13 says, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Bob was blessed by God both in his life and now in his death.
Bob is blessed in death because of the hope of eternal life and the resurrection of the dead. He first received this hope when he was baptized and thereby washed and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Bob was blessed in life because he had received from God gifts of faith, family, and service. Bob lived his life of service both at church and in his career. At church, Bob was an active support of the congregation’s ministry, especially his pastor. He also was active in care for the members of the congregation. In addition, he played key roles in the foundation and support of Christian schools. Bob was generous with both his time and his financial resources. In his career, Bob earned a doctorate from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and soon after began his service at Michigan State University as Professor of Engineering. He was privileged to serve as an instructor and, through his research in voltage stability, was able to serve as a consultant to the power industry. Bob was well regarded by both his professional peers and the fellow members of his congregation.
Bob was greeted in heaven by his father and mother Albert and Dorothy (Then) Schlueter, by his twin brother Jerry, and by his father and mother in law Victor and Mildred Quedens.
Bob counted among his greatest earthly blessings his wife, whom he treasured, and his family. Together Bob and Karen had three children, Ellen (Jim) Landskroener, Paul (Julie) Schlueter, and John (Katy) Schlueter. They have nine grandchildren including Abigail (Ben) Brenner, Noah, Elisabeth, and Ben Landskroener; Anna, Will, and Tori Schlueter; and Claire and Eliza Schlueter. He also had many close friends and extended family whom he loved dearly. Special memories include a multitude of family road trips and the annual and eagerly anticipated summer beach house vacations. Bob (Papa) actively fostered love among the members of his family and counted his greatest legacy to be the love that exists amongst his family both for one another but especially their collective love for God.
Bob’s funeral service will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio on July 29 (4560 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614). Guests may come to greet the family beginning at 10AM. The funeral service will begin at 11am. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mark Love and Rev. Ryan Kleimola. Graveside service will follow at Roth Cemetery in Monclova.
