Brenda Lynn (Sharp) Mason, age 76, of Bowling Green, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior while holding the hand of her beloved husband on July 27, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

She was born on June 15, 1949 in Elk Valley, TN to Virgil Lee and Susie (Baird) Sharp. For 55 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Raymond Earl Mason. Brenda was the proud mother of Heather Frank, Matthew Mason (Jane) and Hollie Timko (Ron). As a “Mamaw”, she adored her grandchildren, Kennedy (Alex), Brayden, Andon, Karsyn, Chazden, Sawyer, Thadden and Jack.

As a woman of deep faith, she never went a day without praying for her family and friends during her cherished time of morning devotions, where she enjoyed reading her Bible, Our Daily Bread, and other devotionals. Brenda started her career as a cosmetologist and quickly became a passionate homemaker who loved raising her children. She volunteered at many church functions and activities throughout the years. She thoroughly enjoyed card making and paper crafts (her family and friends loved receiving her handmade greeting cards), sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, antiquing, gardening, baking, and writing poems. She filled her home with “magazine worthy” seasonal handmade crafts that were loved by all. She also loved traveling with Ray, family, or friends to her favorite destination, Amish Country in Ohio.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Sammy Lee Sharp. She is survived by her husband, her three children, her grandchildren, her sister Dororthy Douglas of Piqua, OH, and her brother James Sharp of La Pine, OR.

The family would like to thank all of her family, friends, and the staff at Hospice in Perrysburg for the care and support they provided during Brenda’s illness.

The family will receive guests at a Wake on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4pm - 8pm at Plain Congregational Church, 16011 West Poe Rd, Bowling Green, OH 43402.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Plain Congregational Church, Our Daily Bread, or the charity or ministry of your choice.

07/22/2025

Robert (Bob) Anthony Schlueter was called to his eternal rest early on the morning of July 15, 2025. Karen (Quedens), his wife of 58 years, was by his side. Revelation 14:13 says, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Bob was blessed by God both in his life and now in his death.
Bob is blessed in death because of the hope of eternal life and the resurrection of the dead. He first received this hope when he was baptized and thereby washed and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Bob was blessed in life because he had received from God gifts of faith, family, and service. Bob lived his life of service both at church and in his career. At church, Bob was an active support of the congregation’s ministry, especially his pastor. He also was active in care for the members of the congregation. In addition, he played key roles in the foundation and support of Christian schools. Bob was generous with both his time and his financial resources. In his career, Bob earned a doctorate from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and soon after began his service at Michigan State University as Professor of Engineering. He was privileged to serve as an instructor and, through his research in voltage stability, was able to serve as a consultant to the power industry. Bob was well regarded by both his professional peers and the fellow members of his congregation.
Bob was greeted in heaven by his father and mother Albert and Dorothy (Then) Schlueter, by his twin brother Jerry, and by his father and mother in law Victor and Mildred Quedens.
Bob counted among his greatest earthly blessings his wife, whom he treasured, and his family. Together Bob and Karen had three children, Ellen (Jim) Landskroener, Paul (Julie) Schlueter, and John (Katy) Schlueter. They have nine grandchildren including Abigail (Ben) Brenner, Noah, Elisabeth, and Ben Landskroener; Anna, Will, and Tori Schlueter; and Claire and Eliza Schlueter. He also had many close friends and extended family whom he loved dearly. Special memories include a multitude of family road trips and the annual and eagerly anticipated summer beach house vacations. Bob (Papa) actively fostered love among the members of his family and counted his greatest legacy to be the love that exists amongst his family both for one another but especially their collective love for God.
Bob’s funeral service will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio on July 29 (4560 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614). Guests may come to greet the family beginning at 10AM. The funeral service will begin at 11am. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mark Love and Rev. Ryan Kleimola. Graveside service will follow at Roth Cemetery in Monclova. Jeffrey C. Riley, 64, peacefully passed away on May 30, 2025. Born on April 18, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Everett and Diane (Carter) Riley.
A proud graduate of E.L. Bowsher High School, class of 1979, Jeff pursued his passion for helping others and community service as a firefighter with Sylvania Fire EMS from 1984 to 1985. His dream of becoming a firefighter for the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department came true in 1985. As a firefighter, paramedic, and “River Rat” on the rescue dive team, Jeff's career was marked by his unwavering dedication and enthusiasm for the profession until he retired as a Lieutenant in 2017. Even after retiring, Jeff continued his service as a Fire Inspector with the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department. To those who had the pleasure of working alongside him, he was often revered as a passionate fireman, a loyal comrade, a humble leader, a caring mentor, a supportive brother, and an uplifting friend.
In addition to his firefighting career, Jeff owned and operated Sylvania Super Wash, a car wash business, from 2008 to 2022. After retiring, he relocated to Dundee, Michigan, where he fulfilled a lifelong dream by establishing Riley’s Christmas Tree Farm. There, he cherished the time spent with his family, nurturing 10 acres of land and planting Christmas trees. He envisioned creating a place where families could experience the magic of Christmas, and he found immense joy in providing the tree that families would take home and gather around on Christmas morning.
Jeff was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering pride and dedication to his family. As an extraordinary father to his three children, Rachel, Brian, and Stephanie, he was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always there to guide and support his children with unconditional love. He instilled an everlasting love for family traditions, taught the value of hard work by example, and ensured his kids had good taste in music. As a devoted grandfather, he adored every moment spent with his grandchildren, especially playing on his farm, dressing up like superheroes, taking the kids for rides on his tractors, antique fire truck, and ATVs, and always showing up in the moments that matter most. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in the cherished memories of his family, lasting a lifetime.
Jeff’s hobbies and passions were a testament to his adventurous, fun-loving, and curious spirit even from a young age. He found joy in traveling the world on ski trips and vacations with friends and family, reading anything but fiction, woodworking, ATV trips, water sports and scuba diving, biking, home renovation projects, tinkering in his barn, and sharing random facts that always leave you wondering. His sense of humor was equally remarkable. He had a knack for finding the funny side of any situation, his jokes were legendary always bordering on inappropriate, and his laughter was infectious.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Diane (Carter) Riley, and his nephew Andrew Mayberry. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; his son, Brian Riley (Jamie); daughters, Rachel Macedonia (Anthony) and Stephanie Howman (Chad); grandchildren, Eloise, Patrick, Everett, Alain, Summer, Conner, and Sierra; sister, Linda Mayberry (Andy); nephew, Austin Mayberry (Whitney); uncle Roland Carter; stepchildren, Sebastian Corser, Brianne Humphrey, and Kennedi Humphrey; and his beloved and loyal pup, Regan.
