Introducing our Firefly Night Honoree, Lynette D. Jones
Lynette Jones is a highly skilled Mechanical Insulator with an impressive 30 years of experience as a journeyman. During her career, she has dedicated 8 years to working as an asbestos remover, all with Heat & Frost Insulators Local 45 Union. Notably, Lynette holds the distinction of being the first and only woman to be elected and appointed to office positions in the union.
Lynette's contributions extend beyond her exceptional work as an experienced insulator. Appointed to the position of market representative/union organizer, where she successfully organized non-union companies and their workers by advocating for the signing of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. As a member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 45 Union, Lynette served on the apprenticeship committee for 8 years, then turned committee chairman for 3 years. During her tenure, she pursued her mission to recruit more women and minorities to the construction trades.
Outside of her distinguished career in construction, Lynette has pursued her passion for skincare. As a licensed esthetician, acne specialist, and ethnic skin care expert, she operates her own clinic, Lynette D Jones Esthetics, in Toledo, Ohio. Lynette specializes in results-oriented clinical skin care, with a focus on skin issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, and troubled skin, particularly in ethnic individuals.
Lynette's commitment to her professional fields intertwines as she actively participates in events. Leveraging her expertise to teach classes that address the specific skin issues of women in construction. This unique combination of knowledge enables Lynette to make a positive difference in her industry and the lives of individuals who benefit.
An unwavering dedication to promoting diversity in the construction trades and her passion for skincare, sets Lynette apart as a remarkable individual who continues to make significant contributions across the board.
