Big news from our therapy community at DOT Playspace! 🎉

Our in-house speech-language pathologist, Theresa Koelsch, has completed training as an NLA Trained Clinician in Gestalt Language Processing through Meaningful Speech.

This specialized training focuses on supporting children who develop language through gestalts or scripts, a communication style commonly seen in many children with autism and other language differences.

Theresa provides speech therapy services at DOT Playspace through her own practice, and we are so grateful to have her working within our space and continuing to expand her expertise for the families we serve.

If you are looking for speech therapy support that incorporates Gestalt Language Processing and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA), this is now available through Theresa here at DOT Playspace.

Congratulations, Theresa! We are so proud of you and grateful to have you as part of the DOT community. 💙

Meet Berkley! ✨
Berkley is our newest DOT Play Ambassador! She is currently an Occupational Therapy Assistant student at Rhodes State College and a worship leader at Cedar Creek Church. Berkley got married last June and now spends lots of time with her husband and their two rescue puppies, a mini poodle and a mini goldendoodle who are both under one.
She is a big coffee lover, always has music playing, loves reading thrillers and romance, and is a huge fan of all things fall.
Let’s give Berkley a warm DOT welcome! 💛

So much fun in the kitchen this morning 🥞🍓

Our Social Kitchen group had kiddos ranging from ages 3 to 7 cooking, learning, and building confidence together. From practicing kitchen safety to cutting fruit to making whipped cream and pancakes, everyone got hands-on experience and left so proud of what they created.

We still have a few spots left for Wednesday morning where we will be making smoothies and loaded toast!! Registration closes tonight.
