✋ If you’re struggling with nerve-related pain that just won’t quit, a spinal cord stimulator may be the next step toward long-term relief.

Spinal cord stimulators are a minimally invasive treatment option for patients who:

✅Have chronic pain related to nerve pain conditions like:👇
🔹Failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS)
🔹Peripheral neuropathy
🔹Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
🔹Diabetic neuropathy
🔹Radiculopathy
🔹Arachnoiditis
🔹And more...

✅Experience pain localized to a specific area, rather than wide-spread pain.

✅Have tried other conservative treatments like medications, physical therapy, or nerve blocks with little to no relief.

⭐One major benefit of spinal cord stimulators is that they allow patients to test the therapy first. During the trial phase, patients use a temporary device to see how well it reduces pain. If the trial provides at least 50% relief, a permanent system may be recommended.

📈Many patients report better sleep, increased activity levels, and reduced need for medication after receiving a stimulator.

💬Talk to one of our providers or schedule a consultation to see if you’re a candidate. Real pain relief might be closer than you think.

👉 What is a spinal cord stimulator and how does it work?

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a medical treatment that involves implanting a device that sends electrical impulses to the spinal cord. This technique can help individuals suffering from chronic pain, particularly in the back, legs, or arms. Here’s how it works and its benefits:

💥Pain Modulation: SCS alters the way pain signals are transmitted to the brain. The electrical impulses can interfere with pain signals, effectively "masking" the pain and providing relief. This is often described as a tingling sensation that replaces the feeling of pain.

💥 Reduced Pain Perception: By stimulating certain areas of the spinal cord, SCS can decrease the perception of pain. This can lead to a significant reduction in the need for pain medications, which can have side effects and risk of dependency.

💥Improved Functionality: Patients often experience improved physical function and mobility. With reduced pain, individuals may be able to engage in activities they previously found difficult or impossible, enhancing their overall quality of life.

💥Adjustable and Reversible: The settings of the spinal cord stimulator can be adjusted to tailor the stimulation to the patient's needs. Additionally, if the patient no longer requires the device or experiences adverse effects, it can be removed.

💥Minimally Invasive: The procedure to implant the device is outpatient, which means less risk compared to more invasive surgeries. This can lead to shorter recovery times and safer option to manage pain effectively.

💥Long-term Management: SCS is often used as part of a comprehensive pain management plan, providing long-term relief for chronic pain conditions that have not responded to other treatments.

Overall, spinal cord stimulation can be a valuable option for individuals with chronic pain, providing both relief and improved quality of life.

🤔 What kind of pain do you have? Not all pain is the same and knowing the difference matters.

🔹 Musculoskeletal Pain 👉
This type of pain originates from the body’s musculoskeletal system, including muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, and joints. It typically feels like a deep ache, stiffness, throbbing, or soreness. Musculoskeletal pain is commonly caused by arthritis, muscle strains, back or neck injuries, or repetitive use of a specific body part.

🔹 Neuropathic Pain 👉
This type of pain stems from damage or dysfunction in the nervous system. This pain is often described as burning, tingling, numbness, or electric shock-like sensations. Neuropathic pain is commonly linked to conditions like diabetic neuropathy, sciatica, postherpetic neuralgia, or nerve compression and trauma.

🎯 Why it matters: Treatments that work for musculoskeletal pain won’t always help with neuropathic pain—and vice versa. At we will identify the type of pain you’re experiencing and treat accordingly.

✅ The FDA has approved Suzetrigine (Journavx), the first non-opioid painkiller in over 20 years. Targeting specific sodium channels, it offers effective relief for moderate-to-severe acute pain without the addictive risks of opioids.

💥”Suzetrigine relieves pain by controlling the flow of sodium in and out of cells, and it targets one sodium channel that is specific to pain neurons in tissues that are found throughout the body but not in the brain. The medication therefore avoids the addictive potential of opioids...”

🔹 **Muscle Pain: Often a result of overuse or strain, muscle pain feels like soreness or stiffness, tension or tightness and is often due to stress, a muscle tear, or prolonged sitting—think of conditions such as tendinitis or myofascial pain syndrome.

🔹 **Inflammatory Pain: This type of pain is caused by inflammation or swelling in the body, often seen in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosis spondylitis. The pain can be persistent.
