Pregnancy centers, please read this message (if you know a PRC, please tag them):
We can sometimes get 80 calls a day on our Loveline hotline. These are not women who necessarily want to have abortions. They are calling us because they are at the end of their rope. They all have other children. They are behind on rent. Their utilities are about to be shut off. They may have already received an eviction notice. They are running out of food. They have called their local resources and everyone has told them no.
So, they called their local pregnancy center. They asked if you guys could help with rent. You also told them no. But you said you could give them diapers or other baby items. They don’t need diapers. They need to not be evicted. They need a roof over their heads. Maybe you gave them a referral list…to the same places they already called that told them no.
Now desperate, they call their local abortion facility who DOES have a solution for them. And what do you know? They will handle it at no cost. A generous “donor” will pay for their abortion. “Well, at least someone will help me,” they think.
But then somewhere on social media, they see information about Loveline and they call us. We tell them that WE will help them. They don’t have to have an abortion. We will find a solution. We start making phone calls on their behalf, and we call their local PRC. They also tell us they can’t help with these bills. But they can come to classes and earn mommy money to buy baby items in their store. ”She doesn’t have transportation, do you have a virtual option?” we ask. We are told no. Plus, she already has 4 kids…not sure she really needs to sit through classes about childbirth or breastfeeding or whatever else. Not a great use of her time. She is already struggling. She just needs help. We ask if you guys can please help us pay her rent so that she isn’t evicted. We are told no. We hang us discouraged, but even more determined to help this woman and save her baby from death. And with God’s help, our amazing staff and our donors, we do.
This scenario literally happens almost every single day. I LOVE PREGNANCY CENTERS. Please read those words and know that I mean them with every fiber of my being. This is not meant to be a critical post. This is meant to help people think in a new way.
THIS IS A NEW ERA AND WE NEED NEW SOLUTIONS.
We have to think differently. I talk to pregnancy center directors all over the country and they keep telling me the same thing. “The ultrasound is less and less effective.” Why would that be? Well, 60% of women who have abortions are already mothers. Women having abortions today KNOW they are pregnant with a baby. These women aren’t ignorant. They have abortions because our society has convinced them that abortion is a selfless choice. That it is the compassionate choice.
If I told you that I know a tool that will save 80-90% of your abortion minded client’s babies, would you use it? Would you spend the money to buy it? Of course you would!! You are in the business of saving lives! ❤️ You did it when ultrasound machines came out. You all spent the money to buy them because they worked. Well, we now have a new tool. It’s called comprehensive case management. It works. It saves babies. It changes the lives of these mothers. It’s not about diapers or supplies. It’s not about classes or mommy bucks. It’s a wholistic transformation. Guys, we have the data to back it up at Loveline.
I know change is hard. I know thinking differently is tough. But it’s worth it if it works. And this works. We need you to come alongside us on this.

Please partner with us. Please don’t tell us no when we call. Please put rent assistance and these other needs in your budget. If you want to save lives, you can’t afford not to.
