Michael Artino Spotted Santa and asked Santa to come to Harvard Elementary!

We had a very special visitor at Harvard Elementary on Wednesday, December 17th! Santa Claus took a break from his workshop to check in on our students as he prepares for his busiest week of the year.

While Santa is checking his list, the team at New Concepts is busy ensuring our students and clients have the support they need to stay merry and bright. We know that the holiday season can sometimes bring extra stress or big emotions. That’s why we are more committed than ever to prioritizing behavioral health and emotional wellness.

How New Concepts is Helping This Season:

Providing a Safe Space: Offering consistent support for students to navigate holiday transitions.

Emotional Regulation: Teaching tools to manage the holiday hustle and stay grounded.

Healthy Habits: Encouraging routines that promote mental and physical well-being for a happy holiday.

Whether it’s through a high-five from Santa or a session with our dedicated staff, our goal is to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and ready for a healthy New Year.

Happy Holidays from New Concepts!

Breaking Down Barriers to Support!

As New Concepts, we support the YWCA's essential bilingual resource: "Tu Voz se Escucha / Your Voice is Heard."

Help should never be limited by language. This initiative ensures that confidential, free, 24/7 crisis support for sexual assault survivors is accessible to the Latinx community.

Si has sufrido una agresión sexual, no estás sola/o. If you've experienced sexual assault, you are not alone.

We encourage all our partners and clients to share this vital information.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Case Manager! 🦌🔴

The holiday cheer is officially in the air at Old Orchard School, and our incredible staff is leading the sleigh!

During Spirit Week, our dedicated Case Manager, Michael Artino, fully embraced the festive spirit by transforming into none other than Rudolph!

This is more than just a costume; it's a perfect example of Michael's commitment to the students. He brings that same warmth, fun, and can-do attitude every day to his role, ensuring the students have the support they need to thrive.

Just like Rudolph guides the sleigh, Michael guides the students with care and a positive spirit!

Thank you, Michael, for always lighting up the way!

It's Rivalry Week, and here at New Concepts, our office is officially divided!

While Michael (O-H! 🌰) and Sonya (Go Blue! 〽️) might have different allegiances on Saturday, they both agree on one thing: managing those high-stakes emotions is crucial!

This weekend, whether your team wins or loses, remember these New Concepts game day tips for mental well-being:

Mindset Matters: Don't let the outcome of the game determine your entire mood or self-worth. It's just a game!

Contain the Intensity: Play with emotion, but don't let emotion play with you. Channel that passion, but step away if the stress gets too high.

The Rivalry Ends at the Whistle: It’s vital to separate the fun competition from real life. Treat friends and family (even the opposing fans!) with respect.

We’re ready for a great weekend of football and mental resilience! Who are you cheering for? Drop your team in the comments! 👇

The holidays are nearly here, and with them can come high expectations and stress for both adults and youth.

Here's a New Concepts we want you to embrace: Your holidays don't have to be perfect to be meaningful.

It’s okay to:
1. Say "No" to an obligation if you need rest.
2. Feel mixed emotions—joy and sadness can coexist.
3. Ask for help.

Seeking support from a behavioral health professional is not a last resort; it's an act of strength and self-kindness. Give yourself and your family the gift of emotional stability this season.

We are here to help you navigate the season with resilience, compassion, and effective strategies.
