The health benefits when you stop smoking can be felt in MINUTES. Over time, the benefits are even more substantial. You can prevent cancer, coronary artery disease, stroke, and more! Get your energy back and spend more time with your loved ones. PRO TIP: USE LOZENGES/ NI****NE GUM BEFORE MEALS THEN START BRUSHING YOUR TEETH RIGHT AFTER (ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST). Smoking is associated with other satisfaction behaviors such as eating breakfast and drinking coffee. So if we can break up the muscle memory, that's one step closer to forming new & better habits!

One small way to work mental health into your work day is by taking some time to relieve any tension you might be holding in your body.
Stretching has many health benefits, including better flexibility and posture. It can help relieve soreness from tense muscles and the effects of sitting for long periods. Stretching may also help you feel more energized and reduce stress. Take a few minutes every day to stretch at your desk. You may find that you feel better, physically and mentally. Check out these at-desk stretches to work into your day!

Check out these ways in which diet and mental health are linked.

What is the importance of eating meals with people?
Eating meals with other people has many psychological, social and biological benefits. They give us a sense of rhythm and regularity in our lives, a chance to reflect on the day and feel connected to others. Biologically, eating in upright chairs helps with our digestion. Talking and listening also slow us down, so we don’t eat too fast.

Make the most of mealtimes by setting aside at least one day a week to eat with family and friends. Choose a meal that’s easy to prepare, so it doesn’t become a chore. Share responsibility, so everyone has a different task: doing the shopping, setting the table, cooking or washing up, for example. Keep the television off so you can all talk and share.
