Let’s Get the Lead Out of the holidays and bring joy and gifts to children, and information to parents to protect their families from lead exposure! The Junction Coalition, Neighborhood Health Association, and partners invite families across to join us for the 2nd Annual Get The Lead Out Of The Holidays Lead Screening and TOY GIVEAWAY Saturday, December 20th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Nexus Healthcare (1415 Jefferson Ave., Toledo, OH 43604). This free, family-friendly event combines fun and wellness for our community’s young children. You can expect:
• Free lead screening for children with emphasis on newborn to 6 year olds.
• Toys given to every child who is screened!
• Educational and informational resources provided to protect your child from lead exposure.
• Prizes and giveaways throughout the event. Wear your best holiday themed outfits!

The Get The Lead Out Of The Holidays Lead Screening and Toy Giveaway is part of the Junction Coalition’s ongoing partnership with organizations across Ohio that are committed to creating lead free communities, and is funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. “Events like this bring families together to celebrate the holidays, while also learning how we can protect our loved ones from lead exposure,” said Archie Beasley Jr. “We’re making wellness fun, because every child deserves a safe and healthy future free from lead in a lead free community.”
Don’t miss this chance to learn how to keep your child lead free, educate your family, and get them a gift for the holidays! Grab the kids, and join us Saturday December 20th!
