UT has Fellowship trained Trauma Surgeons who have board certification in Surgical Critical Care on their staff, as well as physicians specializing in surgical areas of cardiac, orthopaedic, oral, urology, hand, spine, chest, neurosurgery and plastics. The UT Medical Center Rehabilitation allows trauma patients to receive the best in continuity of care from the time they arrive in the emergency de

partment to the day of discharge. The UT Medical Center Rehab Hospital has received special accreditation for expertise in head injury, spinal cord injury and general rehabilitation. Trauma services utilizes the services of The Critical Care Air Transport Network which consists of four LifeFlight helicopters and ten mobile intensive care units (MICU's). All of the helicopters and MICU's are equipped and staffed to care for both adult and pediatric patients. LifeFlight ensures that your emergent Trauma care needs are met at UTMC’s Level I Trauma Center rapidly.

Congratulations to Natalie Haase !! Traffic Safety of Lucas County.

Natalie Haase, Traffic Safety Health Educator, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, was selected as a recipient of the Patrol’s Partners for Safety award for her ongoing partnership with the Patrol to promote traffic safety and to make Ohio roadways as safe as possible. This most notably was seen when she partnered with the Patrol in May 2023 for the Buckle Up – Batter Up event at the Toledo Mud Hens Fifth Third Field.
