"The first time I wanted to die I was 18. I always knew no matter what that Rescue would be there through it all. I've had the immense privilege to get well because of places like Rescue and all the other mental health workers who have helped me along the way. It's not easy. I'm not cured, but I'm better. I can work, be a mother, I longer want to kill myself and I can function without inpatient care or a billion meds."

"Our 15-year-old daughter let us know she had been dealing with depression for three years and had suicidal thoughts. She spent four days and three nights at Rescue, and talking with the other kids allowed her to realize that she was not alone. I believe our daughter is still alive due to Rescue."
