💜🦋Grief is a journey, and it looks different for everyone. Some days bring heavy hearts, and others bring smiles at a simple memory. We're so grateful to walk alongside families not just in this moment, but as they continue their journey.
A year ago, we had the honor of helping Lindsey Wilson and her family as they said goodbye to their dad, grandpa, and friend. She recently shared an amazing experience she had on a Grief Trip through Happy Grieving....
"My name is Lindsey and I lost my dad at the young age of 22 from stage four lung cancer. He was diagnosed late January of 2024. Little did our family know we would have six short months later with him. I want to help spread awareness about grief and my experience with my grief trip that I took after my dad’s passing. It’s not as simple as people can make it out to be it actually is very complex, raw, and gut wrenching at times.
But, how truly beautiful to be able to in a space with others around the globe who understand exactly what your going through. I found Happy.Grieving on instagram and have been following the page for quite some time. A few months after my dad’s passing, the page just kept pointing out to me and I know it sounds corny as most would say, but it was almost as if it was my dad telling me, and guiding me into taking the trip. I lived in fear and all of the what ifs when he was here. But you can’t live in the what ifs forever otherwise that fear will always have control. I thought to myself he would want me to do this. So in April 2025 I took a trip to Bali and spent 2 1/2 weeks there and it was the most transformative experience I have ever endured. I met Rachel Wong whom is the lady who runs the happy.grieving page she had lost her dad four years ago and decided to help others during their grief. She has worked so hard and put so much sweat, and tears into the work she does but, she did it all for the man she loved very much and now she touches hearts all around the world. Her first grief trip was to Portugal last year, this year she has expanded her trips and set one to Bali in April and more trips to come!
Her trips are all based on grief."
Grief Trips are transformative journeys of intentional grief work, paired with travel adventures alongside a community that truly gets it.
