Do you know of a Veteran who has exhibited exemplary courage in battle or has made outstanding contributions to their communities or professions? Nominate a Veteran you know for the Hall of Heroes induction. To qualify, Veterans must have received or currently be receiving care or services within the Tomah VA Medical Center or one of its community-based outpatient clinics.

2. Submit the application with a short bio and description of military service or community service.

🎣 What an amazing day for the 34th Annual Fishing Tournament! Beautiful weather, great fishing, and awesome company made this event truly special. Congratulations to all our winners. 🌞🐟

🚶‍♂️💙 Tomah VA Participants in the 16th Annual VA2K Walk & Roll! 💙🚶‍♀️
Today, Tomah VA Medical Center staff came together for our 16th annual VA2K Walk & Roll, promoting whole health and well-being while also supporting local Veterans who are experiencing or at risk of being homeless.
Our team enjoyed a 2K walk around the facility, while also collecting voluntary donations of personal items and non-perishable food to donate to the local food pantry.
Thank you to all the staff who participated and showed such wonderful VA spirit!
Together, every step made a difference for our Veterans!

Last Friday, the La Crosse Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office teamed up with our Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) Program Manager and our Roads and Grounds crew to give our VA pond a much‑needed cleanup in preparation for our upcoming Fishing Tournament.
They suited up in waders, launched the boat, and worked together to remove excess plants and algae—helping ensure our Veterans can enjoy a smoother, more enjoyable fishing experience.

Big thanks to all who dove in to help keep our pond healthy and teeming with fish—making it the perfect spot to cast a line and reel in some fun! 🐟🌱🚣‍♂️

May 19 is Hepatitis Testing Day, serving as an important reminder that knowing your status saves lives.

Hepatitis can be more common in Veterans, but can be prevented, treated or cured depending on the type.

Sabrina, a member of the Badgerland Girl Scouts- Troop 7055 (Mauston), made some very special deliveries to our Veterans last week! She and her troop gave our inpatient Veterans the chance to choose their favorite Girl Scout cookies, which were delivered along with a handmade card crafted by troop members.
Thank you, Sabrina, and her father, Shayne, for spreading so many smiles on a Friday afternoon. Your kindness truly brightened the day for our Veterans! 💚🍪🇺🇸
