In observance of New Year's Day, the Tomah VA Medical Center and its outpatient clinics will be closed January 1, 2026.

However, the Tomah VA Urgent Care Center will remain open with regular hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for minor injuries and non-emergency illnesses that are not life-threatening but need early attention.

For any medical emergencies, please dial 911 or visit the closest emergency department. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial the Veteran Crisis Line at 988 and then press 1 or text 83255.

Honoring Our Heroes Through Our Commitment to Care
In a Veterans Day article titled “Honoring Our Heroes Through Our Commitment to Care,” Deputy Secretary Paul Lawrence reaffirmed VA’s dedication to improving Veteran health care through deployment of the Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR). The new system will:
• Give providers more time for meaningful interactions with Veterans
• Reduce unnecessary tests and procedures
• Ensure consistent care across VA and community providers
• Support more innovative, data-driven treatment options
