We just talked about FEET as your posture foundation… but what comes next? Your ANKLES.

Your ankles aren’t just simple joints—they’re part of a fascial web that links your feet all the way up to your spine (what Tom Myers calls the Superficial Back Line).

✨ Why ankles matter:
✔️ They’re your first line of balance + support.
✔️ Stiff ankles lock down fascia, forcing your knees, hips, and spine to compensate.
✔️ Better ankle mobility = better posture and alignment from the ground up.

🔎 Quick self-check:
Stand facing a wall with your toes 3–4 inches away. Keep your heel down and bend your knee toward the wall.
👉 If you can’t touch the wall without lifting your heel, your ankle—and the fascia connected to it—may be restricting your posture.

Let’s break down what’s really happening down there ⬇️

🏗 THE ARCH: NOT JUST A SHAPE
Your foot arch is a dynamic structure made up of:
>Muscles (like the flexor hallucis and tibialis posterior)
>Tendons & ligaments that act like cables on a suspension bridge
>A tough, fibrous band called the plantar fascia

If that arch collapses or becomes too rigid (👋 flat feet or high arches), it throws off your whole alignment. Think:
✔️ Extra tension in your Achilles
✔️ Imbalanced pull on your knees
✔️ Compensating shifts in your hips and low back

🎯 MUSCLES THAT MATTER
Many of your foot and ankle issues stem from:
>Tight calves (gastrocnemius + soleus)
