What’s on Your Produce?
Every year, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) releases its Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce™ — ranking fruits and vegetables with the highest and lowest pesticide residues.
🔹 Over 75% of non-organic produce tested had pesticide traces.
🔹 The Dirty Dozen™ list includes items like blackberries and potatoes, with more than 95% showing pesticide residues.
🔹 The Clean Fifteen™ (least pesticides) features cauliflower and bananas — and nearly 60% of those samples had no detectable pesticides at all.

When possible, choosing organic produce can help lower exposure to synthetic pesticides, but even some conventional options test clean.

Knowledge is power — especially when it comes to what we eat. 🍎🥦

Following recent national announcements regarding autism and children’s health, we know many families have questions about topics such as Tylenol, vitamin K, vaccines, and more.

To help address these concerns, our PA, Dr. Nicole Hoff, together with other physicians from our practice, will be hosting an online community group discussion. This session is designed to provide reliable information, answer common questions, and offer a supportive space for open dialogue.

Event Details
Date: Sunday, October 5
Time: 4:00 PM

Topics to be Discussed Include:
• Current recommendations for medications such as Tylenol during pregnancy
• Approaches to vaccine scheduling for infants and children
• Considerations around the Hepatitis B vaccine at birth
• Questions about vaccine ingredients (including aluminum and mercury)
• Research on leucovorin and autism symptoms
• Folate deficiency and its potential links to autism
• Personal stories and experiences from families

Who Can Attend:
• Current patients: No fee (included in care)
• Non-patients: $5 fee to help support community resources, handouts, and ongoing education

If you’ve been considering becoming a patient, this event is also a great way to meet our team and learn more about our approach to care.

How to Register:

Bottom Line Up Front
Pregnancy and childhood are critical times for making healthcare decisions. Many medications and vaccines recommended during pregnancy and early childhood have not been evaluated against true inert placebos or tracked for long-term outcomes. For example, current guidance calls for pregnant women to receive three to four vaccines (flu, Tdap, RSV, and COVID), and the CDC’s childhood schedule includes more than 70 doses by age 18, over 20 of them in the first year.

Our goal is to ensure families have access to the full picture, reliable data, and a space to ask questions so they can make choices that align with their values.

We look forward to welcoming you to this important conversation with Dr. Hoff and our entire care team.
