Along with trust, forgiveness is essential in all relationships. No one is perfect all the time, and people will hurt you and forsake you. Forgiveness is more about you than the person you are forgiving. Forgiveness is not letting someone get away with hurting you, it is fixing what has been tragically broken. I have heard people say that forgiveness is for the weak. “Why should I forgive those who have hurt me?” The Truth is forgiveness demonstrates the strength in the individual. It demonstrates the greatest of attributes one can possess, love.

When we forgive we not only set others free from a debt they cannot repay but we set ourselves free from the bo***ge of hate, anger, fear, anxiety, and depression.

When we forgive hate is confronted by love, and hate cannot stand up against love.

When we forgive our anger is put at peace, that burning in your heart is softened and extinguished.

When we forgive our anxiety is put to rest, the bo***ge is broken and the weight is stripped from your shoulders.

When we forgive depression becomes an afterthought because the past has been set right. The violation, the trespass, the vulgar-tragic misdeed has been destroyed all because we decided to come to a place of allowing ourselves to move on and we decide to stop carrying the weight of the event and allow ourselves freedom from such a harrowing experience.

But like all other issues in our lives, this is a choice. So today eliminate the unforgiveness in your life. Choose to forgive today, and BE AT PEACE.

Today I pray that you are able to see yourself the way God sees you. That you will live with eyes of love, kindness, and care for yourself. Let this love overflow from within you and shine onto all of those around you.

Everyone’s struggles are valid and real. They can take a big toll on our vision and may sometimes feel like they will last forever.

But find some comfort in knowing that God can make anything good. This will pass, and there will be things you can take from your experience that will help you speak into other peoples lives and help them find the peace you have found.

Wow just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who wished me well, wrote a message, sent a text, called and congratulated me on passing all the requirements for ordination. I am so grateful for all of your support and prayers. Emily and I are truly looking forward to the next part of this exciting journey that the Lord has for us.

Whether with a partner, friend, or family, we are all in relationships and the foundation from which these relationships grow is Trust. The worst possible thing to lose in any relationship is trust. We lose trust by lying, being sneaky, doing the things that violate the morals and values you hold dear.

Speaking from personal experience earning trust back versus losing trust cannot compare. In a single moment, you can lose everything you have strived for, and it takes years to rebuild the trust that has been broken. The bond of trust is the foundation of all relationships. Trust is the most important part in a relationship, without trust there is no sustainable relationship. When I began to speak the truth, when I began to live a life devoted to the truth, all my relationships began to heal and thrive.

So today, have the courage and strength to speak the truth. To trust yourself to speak honestly, and when you speak the truth, do not do it out of anger or self-righteousness, but do it with love and affection.

So today, choose to be blessed by speaking in the love of truth which establishes the all-important trust in a relationship.—- Pastor Greg

It's been a long week for some of us. Be gentle with yourself and know that all you can do is your best. Be proud of what you accomplished this week, big or small, and let the hard moments pass.

What are the burdens of your heart? Know that the Lord has placed those burdens there so that it would be a driving force into your life for Christ. If we walk in Him then those burdens will be light, the moment we take on those burdens we are crushed.
