Congratulations team - all 12 of RWJBarnabas Health's acute care hospitals received high marks for patient safety in the latest Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2026 Hospital Safety Grades!

Our health system continues to demonstrate strong performance and progress, with six hospitals earning an “A” and six earning a “B” grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

We are proud to expand advanced pulmonary care in Ocean County by adding new technology at Community Medical Center: the addition of Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).

This minimally invasive technology enhances our ability to diagnose and stage lung disease with greater precision. EBUS supports earlier detection, improved treatment planning, and better outcomes for the patients in our community. EBUS is typically performed as an outpatient procedure.

This additional technology is part of Community Medical Center’s commitment to bringing the high quality, specialized care our patients deserve closer to home.

Throughout April, we celebrated with kidney, heart, lung and pancreas transplant recipients whose lives were transformed by the gift of life.
