One of my favorite Yule traditions is creating a Yule logโand itโs especially fun to do with kids.
Decorate a log using twine, ribbon, holly, pine, or whatever feels magical to you. Then write down your wishes for the coming year and tie them to the log.
On the Solstice (December 21), burn your Yule log in a fireplace or fire pit, sending those wishes up and out into the universe.
No safe place to burn? Light a candle instead. Read your wishes aloud, rip up the paper to release them, and place your decorated log somewhere sacred outdoors. ๐ฒ Save a piece of the log or some ashes to light next yearโs Yule log!
โจ Remember to remove ribbons or decorations animals could eatโsave them for next year!
Tag me in your Yule logsโIโd love to see them. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐
