It was off to the races at The Havens today! 🐎 Residents placed their bets on their favorite horses for our very own Kentucky Derby and cheered them on with excitement.

To make it even more festive, everyone enjoyed sipping on refreshing mint juleps while watching the race unfold. 🌿🥤

And in a very official finish… Brandi in #8 took first place! 🏆 (We may need a review board for Lulu’s “creative racing strategy” that looked like a win! 😂)

Lots of fun and laughter today with our $10 Pyramid game! Staff gave their best clues while residents put their guessing skills to the test to match the words with each category. Some clues were spot on… others had us all laughing! 😄

Our residents had a wonderful time at today’s Sip & Paint! 🎨🌹

A heartfelt thank you to Melissa from Affinity Hospice, Kate with Guiding Hands Placement, and Shira from Veteran Care Services for making this special activity possible. The residents tapped into their creativity while painting beautiful teapots adorned with roses—and of course, enjoyed some sips along the way!

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, relaxation, and artistic expression. We’re so grateful for community partners who bring such joy to our residents! 💕

Our memory care residents had a wonderful time today enjoying a fun and engaging game of fishing—there were lots of smiles and a few “big catches”! 🎣

Later in the afternoon, the celebration continued as all of our residents came together for our birthday bash. With delicious cake, great entertainment, and even better company, it was a perfect way to honor and celebrate our special birthdays! 🎂🎉

Sweet treats and even sweeter moments! 🧁

Today in activities, our residents had a wonderful time baking cupcakes from scratch. From mixing and pouring to decorating and, of course, taste-testing, there were smiles every step of the way. The room was filled with laughter (and the delicious smell of freshly baked cupcakes!).

Nothing brings people together quite like baking—and enjoying the finished product made it even better! 💕

The Havens was proud to co-sponsor a wonderful networking and educational event at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River with Seawind Health Advocacy Group!

The evening focused on Encompass Health’s Parkinson’s-specific program and the amazing benefits of Rock Steady Boxing. A big thank you to Tracy, Adam, and Stevie for an inspiring demonstration—it truly left an impact on everyone there!

Guests also received helpful resources, including information about the Parkinson’s support group led by Michelle Oxx of The Oxx Foundation. With April being National Parkinson’s Awareness Month, it made the event even more meaningful to come together, learn, and support one another.

Thank you to Francine from Caregiver Volunteers for donating the raffle prize, and congratulations to Katie from Complete Care at Bey Lea Assisted Living for winning!

It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and special visitors! 🐰🎉 Our Human Bunny Slots game had everyone cheering and celebrating those winning combinations—so much fun and friendly competition all around!

To make the day even sweeter, we were treated to a visit from Mabel, our adorable pet therapy dog 🐶💛 She brought comfort, joy, and plenty of tail wags to our residents. There’s nothing like a furry friend to brighten the day!
