Ever wondered what makes up the intricate world of language?
Let's break it down with the 5 essential components:
1️⃣ Syntax: This is the structure of sentences. It’s how we arrange words to make sense and convey our thoughts clearly. Think of it as the grammar rules that help us construct meaningful sentences.
2️⃣ Morphology: This component focuses on the structure of words and how they’re formed. It’s all about understanding prefixes, suffixes, root words, and how they come together to create new words and meanings.
3️⃣ Phonology: Phonology deals with the sounds of speech. It’s the study of how sounds are organized and used in a language, including the rules for combining sounds into words.
4️⃣ Semantics: Semantics is all about meaning. It’s the aspect of language concerned with understanding and interpreting the meanings of words, phrases, and sentences.
5️⃣ Pragmatics: This involves the social aspects of language use. Pragmatics is how we use language in different contexts, understanding the nuances of communication, and making sure our messages are interpreted correctly.
We focus on these foundational elements to help children build strong communication skills. By understanding and mastering these components, our young clients can express themselves more effectively and confidently.
