"Each year during Sea to Sound, community leaders are invited to travel five miles along the Olympic Discovery Trail in a power wheelchair.
This year, Loni Greninger, Vice-Chair of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, and Melissa Schoger, COO of Invacare US & Canada, joined the journey. They experienced firsthand both the beauty—and the challenges—of navigating the trail, offering powerful insight into the realities of accessibility."

Another successful year… We couldn't be prouder to support Ian’s Ride!

On June 4, 2008, everything changed for Ian Mackay.

While riding his bike home from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Ian lost control and struck a tree. The crash left him with a high-level spinal cord injury and life as a quadriplegic.

What could have been the end of his journey became the beginning of a new one. After four years of recovery, Ian rediscovered his love for the outdoors—and with the aid of his powered wheelchair, he found freedom again. From trails to coastlines, he has logged over 10,000 miles on his wheelchair, proving that no barrier can keep him from moving forward.

But Ian’s ride isn’t just his own. He has become a champion for accessibility, creating events that bring disabled individuals together to experience the joy of the outdoors. His mission: to inspire others to embrace adventure, resilience, and inclusion.

This week, Ian returns to the Olympic Discovery Trail for his capstone event—Sea to Sound, a 74-mile, three-day expedition through Washington State. We couldn’t be prouder to support an individual who has turned tragedy into triumph, continuing to show us all what it means to live without limits.

They listen to feedback from the entire CRT community and get to work designing, testing, and producing quality equipment focused on maximizing independence and supporting positive health outcomes for people with disabilities.

Thank you to all who provide Rehab Technology including ATP, CRTS, SMS, RRTS and supporting rehab and repair technicians who work one-on-one with individuals to improve lives every day! We are grateful!

On day 4 of CRT Awareness Week, Superheroes of CRT, we recognize CRT providers for everything they do. These dedicated companies and their staff supply the needed operating infrastructure and expertise to partner with individuals with disabilities, family members, clinicians, and others to deliver individually configured solutions that maximize independence.
Special recognition goes to the credentialed Assistive Technology Professionals (ATP), Certified Rehab Technology Suppliers (CRTS), Seating and Mobility Specialists (SMS), and supporting rehab and repair technicians who work one-on-one with individuals to improve lives every day.

Today is day 3 of CRT Awareness Week, Superheroes of CRT and we're celebrating the expertise, effort, and care that Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) Clinicians provide to safeguard the health of individuals with disabilities and maximize their independence.
Seating and Mobility Clinicians are irreplaceable partners in the CRT community and a critical part of the CRT process. They carefully assess the unique medical and functional needs of each client and match them with the equipment that best supports their immediate and future goals. Thank you, CRT clinicians for all that you do!

Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) includes individually configured power and manual wheelchairs and their components, seating and positioning equipment, gait trainers, standing devices, safety beds, and other adaptive equipment designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. CRT Awareness Week is a chance for our community to come together to create a better understanding of what CRT is and why protecting access to it is so important!
