🎉 The Dance is Back at the Leavenworth County Fair! 🎉

We are so excited to bring back one of our favorite traditions from growing up in 4-H — the fair dance! 💃🕺

For many of us, this was one of the highlights of fair week as kids. After a long day of showing animals and hanging out with friends at the fairgrounds, getting together for the dance was always the perfect way to end the fair. We’re thrilled to bring that fun tradition back for a new generation of 4-H members and fairgoers!

📍 Livestock Show Arena – Leavenworth County Fairgrounds
🎟 $5 to enter - for anyone that enters the gate
Open to all 4-H & FFA members

Registration is now open for the 2026 Shutterbug Photography Event! This year's event will take place in Manhattan, Ks. at the Midwest Dream Car Museum from 9:00 - 12:00. February's been a busy month for the club! 4-Hers made Valentine's Day cards for residents of Homestead in Tonganoxie, Cloverbuds learned to tool leather, two committees met & there was a great turnout at the club meeting and we held a parent meeting. Thanks to all of our volunteers and supporters!

Congrats to the Happy Helpers who participated in the Leavenworth County 4-H Club Day on Sunday! Events included a model meeting, mock interviews and perishable foods, plus horticulture and photography judging.

Great meeting last night--glad so many new members and guests could join us! Braxton gave an illustrated talk about his wildlife project and Caden spoke about pinkeye in cattle. Eliza led an "intro to entomology" meeting and then gave a talk about how years in the project helped her get a job with the Colorado Natural Heritage Program during her first semester at CSU. Thanks to everyone who helped with set up, clean up, refreshments, songs, recreation and more!

Leavenworth County Cloverbuds had a lot of fun painting pots, filling them with soil and planting seeds at yesterday's meeting. Thank you to everyone who helped!

What a festive December meeting! Happy Helpers started by caroling at Vintage Park, then went on to the fairgrounds for their meeting. Members voted to do a model meeting at County Club Day in February, there were two talks on the recent Elite Livestock Judging school and one on the pet project (complete with foster kittens!), a parliamentary tip, games, Candy Bar Exchange and refreshments.
