This initiative reflects VitalCore’s commitment to listening and continuous improvement. It began with a conversation with a family who wanted a better way to share important information about their loved one. Rather than viewing it as a single request, we recognized it as an opportunity to strengthen communication and partnership.
In collaboration with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, we established a dedicated line for loved ones to call and a process for supervisors to monitor and respond to messages.
The outcome has been meaningful for all involved. Families now have a confidential and direct avenue to share insights, and our team gains valuable information that enhances safety, clinical decision-making, and overall care. It is a strong example of how listening, collaboration, and thoughtful action can lead to solutions that benefit everyone.
