The DreamComeTrue program continues to honor our residents in meaningful ways. Last week, Carolyn had her dream come true. She traveled to Kansas City, where she enjoyed a beautiful carriage ride followed by a special steak dinner with her daughter.

When asked why the carriage ride was so meaningful to her, Carolyn shared:
“Carriage rides have been a special tradition in my life since childhood. I first enjoyed them with my family, and later with my friends and sorority sisters. As I grew older, it became a tradition I shared with my own family as well.”

Over the last few years, Cedarhurst as a company has hosted a friendly Gingerbread House competition. That being said, Cedarhurst of Topeka is fairly competitive, to say the least!

Our Executive Director, Jessie, partnered with United Way to create Hygiene Kits for the Topeka Rescue Mission. All items were generously donated by our staff, residents, and family members.

Our residents truly enjoyed helping assemble the kits and will even ride along to deliver them later this week—making this experience even more meaningful.

Our Residents and Staff came together to decorate for the season, filling the Lobby with warmth and holiday cheer. Some of the beautiful pieces you see were even handmade by one of our talented residents! Others shared some of their decorations from their home.
