Celebrating Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark and Dr. Kenneth Clark—visionary psychologists whose work shaped Brown v. Board and expanded mental‑health support for Black children. Grateful to Prairie View for sharing their story.

Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark and Dr. Kenneth Clark were pioneering psychologists whose groundbreaking Doll Study revealed the psychological harm of segregation. Their research played a critical role in Brown v. Board of Education and helped change the course of history. Together, they dedicated their lives to expanding mental health access for Black and underserved children and families.

Thank you, Johnson County Mental Health Center for these thoughtful Valentine reminders. Such a beautiful message for anyone who needs it today!

Tomorrow can bring a lot of pressure. Here are a few reminders to take with you.

You are worthy of love, no matter your relationship status.
You do not need a partner to celebrate love in your life.
Love shows up in many ways beyond gifts.
What people post online is not the full story.
Feeling jealous or left out is human. Be kind to yourself.

You matter today and every day. 💗

A reminder from Johnson County Mental Health Center

“What if” thoughts happen. But you’re okay. Small grounding moments can make a big difference.

Sometimes our brains get stuck in “what if” mode.
This is your gentle reminder that you locked the door, the stove is off, and no one is upset with you.

If your thoughts tend to spiral, you are not alone. Pausing to reality-check worries and grounding yourself in what you know to be true can help ease anxiety in the moment. Small reassurances can make a real difference.
