Several instances of BIG NEWS landed the past 48 hours for the pharmacy industry that look to be GOOD FOR PATIENTS EVERYWHERE!

Trevor will work to try to break it down and explain what it means for everyone over the weekend.

New laws that passed Congress and the White House that should help Medicare patients and local pharmacies by working to keep the Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) used by insurance companies accountable

TrumpRx.gov is up and live - what unanswered questions are solved, and what new questions are out there?

Express Scripts, the PBM for Cigna and Tricare as well as several non-government insurance plans, has reached a settlement from the lawsuit the FTC filed against them. The agreement has a lot of requirements the insurance/PBM entity will have to follow that should help protect patients from bad practices.

Tricare just announced copays for out patient retail pharmacy for veterans starting in 2026 -

They are charging a $16 copay for a 30 day supply of generic medicines if you go to a pharmacy starting next year.

That about the same as our cash price WITHOUT INSURANCE on generics that start at $16.99 and can be as cheap as $19.99 for 3 months!

And if the generic is not on their list? It could be $85 for just one month supply to fill with Tricare!

We are competitive and fair with our pricing - without the hassle of insurance or mail order.

Even if you have insurance, feel free to call us and make sure you are not being overcharged on your copays!

The Flu season is coming! Typically the flu starts to hit the peak in December through February.

Trevor & Cassie recommend getting your flu vaccine sometime in October or November to make sure you have the best shot at avoiding getting a severe case of the flu.

While we can't take most insurances we CAN take traditional Medicare part B as long as you do NOT have a Medicare Advantage plan.

Our regular flu shots are $44.99 for patients under age 65 and we have the high dose for $97.

Also - for $50, Trevor can help you find the best Medicare Part D plan at your pharmacy of choice!

Last year WELLCARE was the lowest monthly premium plan for patients. This year that has changed! Come talk to Trevor and see if he can save you a few $100!

Check out Modern Medical Mafia - this docuseries does a really nice job explaining why we made the tough choice to no longer work with insurance companies.

This docuseries helps explain why our Medicare patient had to pay a $125 copay for their medicine using insurance at another pharmacy, but was able to get it here for $78.00 WITHOUT insurance here.

United Health Group has been successful in intimidating streaming platforms to remove this docuseries, but it is at least for the moment available on YouYube.
