We’ve been so busy helping neighbors that we haven’t paused for an update, but the impact has been incredible.

Since the first week of November, Block Talks has supported 230 individuals right here in our community.
Together, neighbors have helped each other access 104 different resources and 1,813 total items, including:

Clothing for all ages

Cleaning kits & household supplies

Winter gear

Hot meals, lunch/dinner/snack packs

Laundry sets & hygiene items

Shoes, hats, gloves, bedding, toiletries

Baby supplies

Help with rent, utilities, and more

Every day, we see how powerful it is when a community shows up for one another. But as the needs grow, our donations simply aren’t keeping up, and we never want to be in a position where we have to say no when a neighbor is asking for help.

If you’re able to donate items or funding, it makes an immediate difference.
If you can’t donate, sharing this post is just as helpful.

Thank you for caring about your neighbors. Thank you for seeing the need. And thank you for helping make sure no one has to navigate these challenges alone.

If you want to donate or get involved, send me a message anytime at (785) 267-2963 or ihuckins@parstopeka.org
