One of our night staff who loves to bake keeps a list of her coworkers favorite cakes and makes the cake for their birthday. 🎂 I guess this has been going on for a while and I just happened to catch her in the act while at the facility late last night. It takes a large team to provide the level of care our residents deserve. Teamwork is essential and building a great team isn’t just about management. Teamwork is when everyone is invested in creating an environment where people are valued. So often I look at things our team does for each other and I know how essential those acts of service are to making what we do possible. Thank you to all the team members who switch shifts, provide rides, train new staff, pick up the slack when someone is having a day, and remind me to just be a better person.

Proposed truck stop at 6th and Fairlawn.
Really prefer this not pass. It’s too close to home and business. Multiple schools and long term care facilities nearby. Not to mention additional traffic on route often used for emergency vehicles. If you have a loved one at Oakley Place, Celebration Village, or Presbyterian Manor please read and consider signing the petition to block building a new truck stop! Just not the best spot.
