🎉 A Special Birthday at Oakley Place! 🎉

Two of our Oakley Place team members reached out to let me know it was a very special young lady’s birthday today. This sweet lady didn’t want to tell anyone or make a big deal out of it… but of course, we couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating her.

She is the loving wife of one of our Oakley Place Topeka residents, and making her smile made our day. So yes — cake was absolutely involved. 🎂💛

When a family member says, “Tristan, your team and you’re doing amazing work here,” it truly touches my heart.
Hearing those words reminds me why we pour so much love, time, and energy into Oakley Place.

But I always want families to know one thing:

It’s our Oakley CNA’s, CMA’s, and Nurses who make it all happen.
They are the backbone of Oakley Place. They’re ones showing up with compassion, patience, strength, and kindness day after day. They are the reason our homes feel like home.

I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
Together, we are creating something truly special for our residents and their families. ❤️

This terrific trio created the most amazing Thanksgiving meal and made the entire day so very special. From a morning filled with hair curling, special outfits, and warm laughter to preparing a full feast for our residents and their families — you could feel the love in every moment. It was truly a blessing to watch it all unfold.

And when I say feast, I mean FEAST:
Turkey, ham, potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, corn casserole, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and apple pie.

After lunch, everyone joked that it was time for a good afternoon nap just so they could wake up ready for leftovers at dinner — and honestly, who could blame them?

We have so much to be thankful for here at Oakley Place of Rossville. Our residents, families, and staff make this home such a beautiful place to be.

Happy Thanksgiving from our Oakley family to yours. 🧡🍂🦃
