Reminder for your travels tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow, January 21, MaineDOT will be conducting an inspection of the new Frank J. Wood bridge from 8:30 A.M. to 12 P.M.

Northbound drivers traveling from Brunswick to Topsham will be detoured via the Topsham Bypass and Route 196.

Southbound traffic and pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge during the inspection.

Flaggers will help guide vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely through the area.

Now that construction is complete, and it's been road-tested, Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting an inspection of the new Frank J. Wood bridge from 8:30AM until Noon next Wednesday.

Drivers heading northbound will be redirected and should follow detour signs. During this time, northbound traffic traveling from Brunswick to Topsham will be detoured via the Topsham Bypass and Route 196 while drivers heading southbound will be able to cross the bridge during the inspection.

Pedestrian access will be allowed during the inspection and vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be controlled by flaggers. In the event of inclement weather, the inspection will happen the next day, Thursday, January 22.
