As many of you know, I have been battling cancer since June 2024 and undergoing chemotherapy for the last 4 months. My latest CT and MRI have shown that the cancer is progressing and has now made it to my liver and lungs. Needless to say, this is not a good prognosis.

It's now time to focus on family, friends and travel. As of August 22nd I will be retiring and Dr. Mark Theriault will be stepping in to take over. I will be in the office adjusting for the next two weeks if you want to stop in and get 1 or 2 last adjustments.

It's been a great 25+ years serving this community and I have made so many friends and many of you are as close as family. It's really hard to say good-bye but time is no longer on my side.

Welcome Dr. Mark Theriault to Perfect Balance Chiropractic, shown here with WWE Wrestler Braun Strowman.

Dr. Mark Theriault has been a board certified, licensed doctor of chiropractic and trusted wellness advisor since graduating from New York Chiropractic School in 1993. By 1995 he was licensed to practice in five states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maine and North Carolina. He moved from New York to North Carolina in 1996 where he soon opened his own practice in Denver, NC (Lake Norman//Charlotte). Once established, "Dr. T" and his team were committed to really understanding their patients' "wants" and blending that with what was needed to achieve fast relief and long lasting correction.

He had a successful practice for more than 21 years that he sold in 2022 so he could travel more, teach and provide practice coverage for other docs in need.

He moved to Malaysia in 2024 to explore teaching and practicing chiropractic in another country.

However, after his father, a local native and current resident of Maine, developed a recent and steady decline in his health following Covid, Dr. T decided to return to his hometown region so he could be closer and more supportive of his family while continuing to practice and serve the local communities wherever possible here in Maine.
