Here are a few quick reminders before the big night:

✨ Be Seen: Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes and carry a flashlight.
🚶 Stay Smart: Stick to well-lit neighborhoods and always cross at crosswalks.
🍬 Check Treats: Wait until you’re home to inspect all candy before eating.

✨ We’re so proud of our very own Dr. Jamele-Townley (Dr. JT) who recently presented at the Maine Nutrition & Lactation Conference 2025 alongside her friend and former colleague Dr. Andrea Tracey, MD and Madona Mooney LPN, co-founder of FASD Maine 💜

Their presentation focused on prenatal alcohol exposure screening and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) — shining a light on the importance of early identification, compassionate care, and strong community partnerships.

We’re incredibly proud of Dr. JT’s ongoing work to educate, collaborate, and advocate for healthier futures for all Maine kids and families. 🫶✨

🌟 Big weekend for Team Stellar! Our very own Dr. Alyssa Goodwin, MD, FAAP, Chair of the School Health Committee for the Maine AAP Chapter, had the incredible honor of being a speaker at the 2025 School Health Summit in Augusta 🩺✨

This inspiring event brought together school nurses, educators, and healthcare professionals from across Maine — all united by one mission: supporting the health and well-being of our kids. Dr. Goodwin shared practical ways to strengthen the bridge between pediatric primary care and school health, sparking some powerful conversations and collaborations. 🙌

It was such a joy to meet and learn from so many passionate school nurses. Your dedication, heart, and advocacy truly make a difference every single day. 💪❤️

And of course… hearing from Dr. Nirav Shah was the cherry on top 🍒👏 His keynote was an inspiring reminder that school health IS public health.

Today we’re celebrating a very special member of the Stellar Pediatrics family — our beloved furry friend and coworker, Ally ! 🐶💙

Ally brings so much joy, comfort, and love to our patients (and staff!) every single day. Whether she’s greeting little ones with tail wags or helping calm nerves with her gentle cuddles, she truly is a shining star in our office. 🌟

Today’s focus: Starting the Conversation.
It all starts with a conversation — and yes, it can feel awkward, scary, or uncomfortable. But starting that talk can save a life.

Whether you’re checking in on a friend, sitting down with your teen, or reaching out because you’re struggling yourself, remember: you don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be there and listen.

🌱 Tips to start the conversation:
• Ask open-ended questions like “How are you really feeling?”
• Let them know you care and are here to support them.
• Listen without judgment — sometimes, just being heard is enough.

Together, we can break the silence, reduce stigma, and support those who need it most.
