“Beyond the Likes – Social Media, Mental Health & You” is a FREE virtual event designed just for teens ages 14–19.

This interactive forum will help teens:

✔️ Connect with peers and experts
✔️ Learn practical tools to support mental health online

Stellar Pediatrics is thrilled to welcome new families to the care of Dr. Alyssa Goodwin, MD, a board-certified pediatrician, pediatric mental health advocate, and leader in school health.

With over 20 years of experience caring for children and adolescents in Maine, Dr. Goodwin is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach to care. She partners closely with families to support both mental and physical wellness, helping children thrive at home, in school, and in the community.

🩺 Clinical Interests & Expertise Include:
• ADHD, anxiety, depression & eating disorders
• Pediatric mental health & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (COPE)
• School health advocacy
• Sleep, nutrition, movement & screen-time counseling
• Mind-body wellness through mindfulness and movement

🏫 A Powerful Advocate for Students
School health is central to Dr. Goodwin’s work. She has served as the School Physician for the Brunswick School Department since 2014, collaborates regularly with school nurses and administrators, and attends IEP and 504 meetings to advocate directly for her patients’ educational and health needs.

🎓 Education & Training:
• MD – George Washington University School of Medicine
• BA in Neuroscience – Amherst College
• Residency training at Children’s National Medical Center

💙 Deeply Rooted in the Community
Dr. Goodwin is the Camp Doctor for Camp Kita and a member of the Kita Center Board of Directors, supporting youth and families impacted by su***de loss. She is also the long-standing Head Coach for Girls on the Run at Harriet Beecher Stowe School, combining physical activity with social-emotional growth.
