We recently donated two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to key locations in Northwest C***ecticut.

Fred Rosa, EMS Director, presented one AED to the New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department’s Supplemental First Responder Program, and another to the Regional Refuse Disposal District #1 municipal transfer station.

Our EMS team will also provide training to ensure staff are prepared to respond in an emergency.

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital proudly celebrated World Breastfeeding Week with a free community event spotlighting the importance of breastfeeding and the support families need to thrive.

Highlights included a flag-raising ceremony and a special proclamation from Torrington Mayor Elinor Carbone, officially recognizing the week in the city. Big congratulations to Carey Hock, RN, and Susan Curtis, RN, honored as this year’s breastfeeding champions!

A C***ecticut native with a deep love for nature and wildlife, Chris was introduced to photography by his dad, who always had a camera in hand. Inspired by legends like Ansel Adams and Frank Lee Ruggles, Chris captures the beauty of the outdoors in stunning detail.

You can view and purchase Chris’s work at the Charlotte Gift Shop all month long! Proceeds benefit the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

The annual Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Golf Classic scored another ace — and a fundraising record — by generating $300,000 for the hospital's new Palliative Care Program. The program assists patients at any age and stage of illness, complementing curative treatments and helping patients navigate chronic conditions like cancer, dementia, COPD, stroke and kidney or liver failure.

The annual Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Golf Classic scored another ace on Monday, June 2, 2025, by welcoming 144 golfers to beautiful Torrington Country Club and raising $300,000 for the hospital’s new Palliative Care Program—a new fundraising record for the tournament.

🎨 Art as Healing 🎨
While undergoing chemo and radiation, Nancy Devore turned to art for hope and inspiration. A lifelong creative educated at SUNY Purchase and Southern C***ecticut State University, Nancy explores everything from florals and landscapes to abstract color studies—capturing the beauty in light, shadows, and everyday wonder.
