This is a perfect example of how great EMS care in our community can be. Every day dispatchers and first responders from different agencies work alongside each other to get the right care to patients. Great job everybody!!

After a lot of hard work, we are proud to share this study getting published using our team of highly skilled paramedics as the subjects. There is a lot of research to be done in the prehospital world and we are incredibly happy we were able to contribute to learning and advancing our profession. Hopefully, our team will be able to do more research like this in the future to help us continue to provide the best care possible to our patients.

This publishing comes with the perfect timing, as our program is about to implement a point of care ultrasound program encompassing much more than just cardiac views within the next few weeks. A lot of training has gone into our team that has already proven themselves more than capable with this initial ultrasound pilot program - the first paramedic program in the state with such technology.

Background: Cardiac point-of-care ultrasound (cPoCUS) can detect occlusive myocardial infarction (OMI) in the absence of diagnostic electrocardiogram (ECG) by assessment of left ventricle (LV) function. The feasibility of cPoCUS to assess LV function in the prehospital setting is unknown.Objective:....

Great job to two of our own, EMTs Paul Krause and Margaret Coe. Together, they responded to a Stemi on April 22nd, 2025. Successfully getting the patient proper cardiac care in 52 minutes from time of call to arrival at the hospital. Together, alongside HHC Northwest Paramedics and New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department First responders, they activated a Stemi alert and transmitted the ECG to the hospital before leaving the scene!

This ensures that when the patient arrives at the hospital, no time is wasted when the patient enters the emergency department.

Great job guys (and gals)! We couldn’t have done this without our amazing HHC paramedics, and New Hartford Fire First responders.

Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week to our amazing partners at LCD and dispatch centers across the country. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do every day without you all!

Excellent job to all those involved! Great to see another positive outcome so soon and phenomenal care throughout the tiered response system.

We don't often have two similar high acuity calls so close together. On Sunday, EMTs Nicholas Maltby and Tyler O'Neil along with Cadet Brynn McCracken and Hartford Hospital Northwest Paramedic Ryan Snow were dispatched for a patient with sudden onset chest pain while on a hike. First responders had to walk in about 1/2 a mile to provide aid. Luckily, we had just gotten keys for all MDC gates and the ambulance and medic were able to drive to the patient.

A quick EKG by Medic Ryan Snow identified a serious heart condition. The patient was transported to the nearest specialty heart center and then to the cardiac catheterization lab. The patient had a blocked coronary artery that was successfully treated and the patient is home and recovering. The picture shows how blood flow was restored at the Cath Lab. The crew's early activation of the Cardiac Cath lab saved critical time for this early morning weekend call, as the Cath team to be called in from home. Great work everyone!
