Omar tells every hair restoration patient the same thing: the prep matters more than the procedure.

Most uncomfortable part of a DFI procedure? The anesthesia shots, once on the donor area, once on the recipient. That discomfort is fixed.

What’s not fixed: how much worse it feels when patients skip the pre-op protocol. No alcohol. No ni****ne. No caffeine. Seven days before. Not six. Not ‘I only had one coffee.’ Seven clean days.

The instructions aren’t suggestions, they’re the difference between a controlled procedure and one where every injection registers harder than it should. The team can mitigate discomfort on procedure day, but they can’t undo a week of vasoconstriction or inflammation you walked in with.

The patients who follow the protocol report a completely different experience than the ones who don’t. Same procedure. Same injections. Different prep.

What’s the question you’d ask before booking?

Walk through our floor on any given Tuesday and this is what you’ll see.

Someone getting their hairline rebuilt in one room. Someone getting Botox in the next. Someone an hour into a CO2 resurface. Someone else doing their third XERF session. PRP spinning in the back.

Nothing about this is normal for a med spa. Most places run one or two services. We run all of them, on purpose, because the patient who wants filler is usually the same patient asking about their thinning crown six months later.

You shouldn’t have to drive to three places to feel like yourself.

A patient asked if XERF is “just expensive microneedling.”

Nina walked her through the difference, microneedling punctures surface, XERF delivers monopolar radiofrequency 3.5mm deep into dermis. Collagen remodeling happens where you can’t see it. One pass, not twelve. The investment is depth, not repetition. (Without the discomfort you’d have in mind of course 😉)

Does Botox hurt? Not really, but here’s what to expect.

Most people feel a quick pinch or mild burning sensation. That’s it. About 7 out of 10 patients handle it fine without any numbing.

If you have a low pain tolerance or you’re nervous, we can apply a topical anesthetic before the injections. It takes a few minutes to kick in and makes the entire process way more comfortable.

The actual injection takes seconds. The needles are tiny. Most people are surprised by how fast it’s over.

The part that makes people anxious isn’t usually the pain. It’s the anticipation. Once you’ve done it once, the second time is way easier because you know exactly what to expect.

Also worth mentioning: some providers are just better at injecting than others. Technique matters. A skilled injector knows how to work quickly, use the right angle, and minimize discomfort. If your first experience was terrible, it might not have been the Botox. It might have been the person doing it.

If pain is the only thing stopping you from trying Botox, it shouldn’t be.

The 3-step skincare routine dermatologists actually recommend.

Most people are layering random products from different brands and wondering why their skin isn’t improving. A system designed to work together accounts for how each step affects the next.

This is the Obagi 360 system. Exfoliating cleanser, retinol, and moisturizer with SPF 30. Each step is formulated to prepare for or support the next one.

Step 1: Exfoliating cleanser removes buildup and preps your skin to actually absorb what comes next. Clean surface, better pe*******on.

Step 2: Retinol 0.5% cream. Boosts collagen production, smooths texture, speeds up cell turnover. This is the active ingredient doing the real work.

Step 3: Moisturizer with SPF 30. Retinol makes your skin more sun-sensitive, so sunscreen isn’t optional. It’s built into the routine.

The difference between medical-grade skincare and drugstore products isn’t just price. It’s formulation strength, ingredient quality, and how the products are designed to layer. Medical-grade is what dermatologists use when they want actual results.

If you’ve been buying random serums hoping something works, this is the reset.

Send this to someone who needs to clean up their skincare routine.

The question isn’t Botox or filler. It’s whether your line is there when your face isn’t moving.

Botox relaxes the muscles behind expression lines. Forehead creases when you raise your brows, the 11s when you concentrate, crow’s feet when you smile. If the line shows up with movement and softens at rest, that’s Botox territory.

Filler is about volume. Flatter cheeks, deeper folds around the mouth, thinner lips, hollows under the eyes. If the line or shadow is there when you’re completely still, filler is what moves it.

Most faces over 30 have both going on. Years of expression wearing in the dynamic lines, collagen and fat pads dropping and changing the structure underneath. That’s why “both” is usually the honest answer, and why we map the face in person before touching a single syringe.

Where do you see it when your face is at rest?

People think Turkey is cheap for hair transplants. The revisions are where that math falls apart.

Omar has sat with patients who flew to Istanbul for a 3,000-graft procedure at a fraction of US pricing. A year later they're back in his chair asking why the hairline looks pluggy, why the density is patchy in the crown, why the donor zone looks thin.

A revision transplant costs more than the first one. The donor supply has already been pulled from. Scar tissue makes extraction harder. Planning has to work around someone else's mistakes. By the time you add the original flight, the hotel, the second trip, and the second surgery, you've cleared what a careful consult and a single FUE or DHI procedure at home would have cost.

Cheap and affordable aren't the same thing. Affordable is a procedure you only need once.

The reason Clarity II works on every skin tone is the dual wavelength. Two lasers, two wavelength lengths. We match the laser to your melanin level so the energy targets the follicle, not the skin around it. That’s how you get a safe, effective treatment whether you’re Fitzpatrick I or VI.

Most women don’t know they’re a candidate for a hair transplant.

Here’s the thing about female hair restoration that nobody talks about. The process isn’t the same as it is for men. The shaved area, the extraction pattern, how we plan around density in the back. It all changes.

One of the biggest concerns I hear from women is whether people will notice where the grafts came from. The answer depends entirely on how your surgeon maps the extraction. When grafts are taken sporadically across a wider donor area instead of concentrated in one spot, the surrounding hair grows back over it and you’d never know. Omar’s had 6,000 grafts taken from his own donor area. You can’t tell.

The part most people skip over is that transplanted hair is relocated, not duplicated. What moves to the front isn’t growing in the back anymore. That’s why the consultation matters more than the procedure itself. It’s where your surgeon decides how much they can take without compromising your donor zone.

If you’ve been told “it’s just thinning” and sent home with a serum, it might be worth getting a second opinion from someone who actually does transplants on women.

Your skin is loose. You don’t need a single needle to fix that.

Most skin tightening still uses microneedling to push RF energy into the skin. It works great, but it comes with downtime, redness, and a few days some might rather not be seen. XERF’s technology actually combats that and pushes pure radiofrequency, no needles involved.

What most patients don’t realize: collagen doesn’t sit in one layer. It’s structural tissue at multiple depths. Heating just the surface gives you surface results. XERF fires three separate frequencies at three separate depths because each layer responds to a different signal. That’s what makes the tightening structural, not just surface tension like approaches we’ve been used to.

Results are almost instant. Post treatment, your body rebuilds collagen over about 12 weeks at all three levels, and the improvement continues for months after that. By the time it fully settles, people just think you look rested. Nobody guesses a treatment.

Skin tightening shouldn’t require a recovery calendar. That’s an outdated trade-off.

Your filler appointment is only as good as the first five minutes.

Most people sit down and say “I want my lips done” or “I want cheek filler.” That’s a starting point, not a plan. What you think you want and what will actually get you the result you’re picturing are often two different things. Sometimes it’s less product than you expected. Sometimes it’s a completely different area.

That first conversation is where everything either clicks or goes sideways. A good injector isn’t just asking where you want filler. They’re looking at your bone structure, how your face moves, where volume has shifted, and what’s going to look natural in five years, not just five minutes.

The part most people don’t realize? The version you see walking out isn’t the final version. Swelling distorts things. Give it time before you judge.
