💙Happy September 1! September is National Kinship Care Month, this is a time to honor the incredible relatives and close family friends who step in to raise children when their parents are unable to.

Kinship caregivers provide more than just a home, they preserve family bonds, cultural traditions, and community connections that are vital for a child’s well-being. 🌟

This month, we celebrate their selfless love, dedication, and the stability they bring to children’s lives. 🥰

We are excited to announce that we have received a very fun grant filled with engaging games to help children and families learn about money!

In addition to programs we will be scheduling in libraries, we are also inviting homeschoolers and troop leaders to reach out to see how we can help you offer these opportunities to your crew if you prefer something specific for curriculum needs or badge requirements.

And because these are gamified programs, participants will have fun while they learn from games such as Making Moo-lah (a child life-size farm twist on Monopoly), Pet Cents (a pet adoption game where players use their budget to care for their critters), Currency Conga (a play on Twister), Penny Pinchers Party (in which participants maximize their party planning on a budget), and Piggy Bank Theatre (an interactive story time).

Plus, this Thinking Money for Kids grant came with preloaded tablets filled with digital quick versions of these games to reinforce the skills and information learned. Check your local library to borrow one now.
