Finding Freedom Nutrition and Counseling, LLC

Finding Freedom Nutrition and Counseling, LLC A group of highly trained and specialized clinicians assisting clients in finding personal freedom! Nutrition is the medicine of life.

My name is Aisha Lubinski and I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Like a hummingbird is drawn to color red, I have always been drawn towards helping people. We need food to survive, thrive, and flourish. I believe that everyone deserves to have a positive, non-judgmental relationship with food, seeing food as food. I have spent my career as a dietitian dedicated to helping those with eating disorders reclaim their life and relationship with food. I believe in a kind, gentle and honest approach with my clients, offering support and reflecting my concerns along the way. I recognize that taking the first steps to talking about your relationship with food can be overwhelming, and I strive to set an honest and judgment-free environment where clients can begin to feel safe, heard, and understood. Nutrition therapy sessions are set up in a way to explore and understand the struggles for there to be lasting change. If you are interested in setting up an initial appointment, please call 314.246.9395! I hope I can help you in finding your nutritional freedom!

The "8 C's of Self" in Internal Family Systems (IFS) represent different qualities or aspects of the Self that are essential for inner balance and healing. These qualities help individuals become effective self-leaders within their own minds. Here's a brief description of each of the 8 C's:

1. **Curiosity:** Curiosity is about being open to exploring and understanding the different parts of yourself without judgment. It's like being an interested and non-judgmental observer of your own inner world.

2. **Compassion:** Compassion involves treating all your inner parts with kindness and care, just like you would treat a friend who is going through a tough time. It's about having a warm heart towards yourself.

3. **Calm:** Calm is the quality of inner peace and serenity. It's like having a calm center within you, even when there's chaos or turmoil among your inner parts.

4. **Clarity:** Clarity means having a clear and wise understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and inner dynamics. It's like having a clear-headed leader who can see the big picture.

5. **Confidence:** Confidence is the assurance that you can handle whatever comes your way. It's about trusting in your inner strength and resources.

6. **Courage:** Courage involves facing and dealing with challenging emotions or situations within yourself. It's like being brave enough to address what needs attention, even if it's difficult.

7. **Creativity:** Creativity is the ability to come up with new solutions and ideas, even in challenging situations. It's like having an inventive and resourceful aspect of yourself.

8. **Connectedness:** Connectedness is about feeling a sense of oneness and connection with all parts of yourself, as well as with others and the world around you. It's like recognizing that you are part of a bigger whole.

These 8 C's of Self are like the qualities of a wise and compassionate leader within you, guiding and supporting all your inner parts toward healing, harmony, and personal growth.

How do you self care?! Did you know that taking care of ourselves it about meeting our own needs? Often when our needs are unmet, we act out in ways that try to meet them for us. When we can make sure to take care of ourselves first, we find that we don’t need the maladaptive behaviors in the ways we needed them before. There is no “one-way” to taking care of ourselves. We’d love to hear some of your go-to ways of prioritizing yourself and your needs.

Double Tap if you agree! While Thanksgiving offers a lot of choices, it doesn’t mean that you choose to not eat the other 2 meals in the day! Thanksgiving is just like any other meal. We don’t have to make it too complicated. Take a little of everything to make up the portion size of a traditional meal. Have seconds if you want. Have dessert if it sounds good! Most importantly, show gratitude to your body by feeding it well!
