Congrats to our wonderful interns on finishing their year! Soon to be Doctor, Veronica Martinez, worked with us this year at Sudbrook MS, Fort Garrison ES, and Towson HS. A wonderful thank you to her incredible supervisors Lauren Weingard and David Michelson.

Veronica shares from her experience:
“Gratitude! That is what I am filled with as my internship in BCPS comes to a close. I am grateful for all of the incredible, impactful people whom I've had the extreme pleasure to meet over this past year. I am grateful for all of the students who have cemented life-long memories into my heart. I am grateful that BCPS's school psychologist internship is a premier training program that affords a wide range of learning opportunities and that I had the chance to experience it! I am grateful!

My future involves being a traveling school psychologist and working in the three largest school districts in the nation (New York, Chicago, LA). Next year I am excited to begin this adventure in Chicago Public Schools! I am also finishing my dissertation research and will graduate with my PhD in the Spring (2026).

I am committed to taking all that my internship afforded me, all the knowledge I've gained to be the most impactful school psychologist I can be for public education, to advocate to the fullest for equity and justice, and to continuously do the self-reflection work needed to be better every day.”

Another day, another above and beyond psychologist!

A huge shoutout to our above and beyond psychologist Krystal Neal, at Lansdowne High school, who joined her school after hours for their event "Landscape", an arts event for the high school and it's feeder elementary and middle schools. She hosted a diy calming craft station and it could not have been cuter!
