✨ Now Accepting Referrals! Virtual Therapy Openings Available and Accepts BCBS Insurance ✨

I currently have daytime openings for high school students and adults seeking supportive, neurodivergent-affirming care.

🌈 I specialize in working with autistic and ADHD-identifying individuals, and I offer a safe, affirming space for clients who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

🧠I also offer virtual Brainspotting—a powerful modality that helps clients process and release what’s stuck, whether it’s unresolved trauma, anxiety, or emotional blocks. Brainspotting can be especially helpful when talk therapy alone isn’t quite enough, allowing clients to access deeper healing at a brain-body level.

If you are navigating identity, stress, overwhelm, or past trauma, and would benefit from trauma-informed, neurodivergent-aware support, I’d love to connect!

Please feel free to email me:

Hello All! We are doing re-introductions in honor of Social Work month! My name is Annie and I use she/her pronouns. I have been working as a social worker for 14 years and have a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Maryland. I love being a social worker because I get the opportunity to work with children, teens, and adults. And the simple version that I tell all children who ask is, “I help kids and grownups with their BIG feelings.” I am passionate about being an ally and proudly serve as an LGBTQ affirming provider.

I have a very special 4 legged colleague that helps me with my clients and even participates in telehealth. Her name is Rosie and she works as a therapy dog. I’m going to answer some frequently asked questions about Rosie!

🌈What is a therapy dog?
A therapy dog has special obedience training to respond to and respect clients’ feelings while providing comfort. They are friendly and can be any breed of dog. While there are organizations that will certify dogs to participate in hospital, school, and mental health settings for visits, this is not required for all settings.

🌈Where did Rosie receive training?
Rosie was trained at Best Friends Furever in Cockeysville, MD.

🌈Is she a service dog?
No. Rosie is not a service dog. Her special training allows her to help people with their feelings but she does not help with activities of daily living like opening doors or helping cross the street.

🌈Can she go on a plane with you?
No, Rosie is not an emotional support animal (ESA). Emotional support animals do not have special training but instead the individual has a letter from a medical or mental health professional which authorizes the person to have an approved animal to travel with for emotional/comfort reasons.

🌈What will Rosie do if she comes to my therapy sessions?
✅She will respect your personal boundaries and sit on your lap or next to you when invited.
✅ She will go in her crate if she needs some space or if you request space.
✅ She will keep anything you share confidential 🤫

Rosie and I look forward to sharing helpful resources with you! Happy Social Work Month to all of our friends!

Hi everyone! This is Millie or Ms. Millie as my younger clients call me! I use (she/her pronouns). I first became connected with the social work profession while taking a college course on it and had my “ah-ha!” lightbulb 💡moment that this was what I wanted to do! I really connected with the systems approach to supporting people in the many different areas of their lives and connecting them with resources in their community. Following my completion of the MSW graduate program at UMD, I began working as a school social worker at Kennedy Krieger Institue and later at the Baltimore Lab School. I am now a “Licsenced clinical social worker” or LCSW-C following many tests, hours of contact with clients, continuing education training and supervision. I am licensed to practice independently (diagnose using the DSM-5, provide individual/group/family psychotherapy) and enjoy working with kiddos, families, and young adults via Telehealth. This past year sure has been a big one with COVID-19 and the need for mental health services has dramatically grown. I feel proud to be able to use my expertise and training to help others during this difficult time. Along with using play therapy and art therapy techniques with my younger clients I love using mindfulness! Teaching clients with anxiety new ways of calming their brains and bodies is so rewarding. I could go on for much longer but we will stop here with a virtual high five and pat on the back for making it through this past year! ❤️

Happy Social Work Month! This year has been a busy one for the practice and we haven’t posted as much as we’d like and that’s okay! We wanted to take this opportunity as March is Social Work month to highlight our hardworking therapists that wear many hats and to spread more awareness of the profession we love! Stay tuned for re-introductions from Annie and Millie this month to see what we’ve been up to and where we are going!

Many parents are wondering how to support their children with discussions regarding race and inequality, with the recent death of George Floyd. This article provides language to use with your children to support and validate their feelings as well as books that can be helpful based on age. We encourage children, parents, and therapists to continue to have discussions and hold space to express feelings and find actionable steps to show support of African Americans and the black community.

The conversation about race needs to start early and keep happening.
