🐶 Stretch it Out with Puppy Pose! 🧘‍♀️

Looking for a simple yet powerful pose to add to your practice? Meet Uttana Shishosana, or Puppy Pose!

This gentle pose combines the benefits of a heart-opener and a forward fold, and it’s perfect for:

✨ Releasing tension: Opens the shoulders, chest, and upper back, counteracting hours of desk work or screen time.

✨ Spinal flexibility: Stretches and lengthens the spine while decompressing your lower back.

✨ Calming the mind: Encourages deep breathing, reducing stress and anxiety.

✨ Preparing for deeper poses: A great warm-up for backbends and inversions.

💡 How to do it:
1️⃣ Start on all fours in tabletop position.
2️⃣ Walk your hands forward while keeping your hips above your knees.
3️⃣ Lower your chest and forehead (or chin) to the mat.

Hello yoga friends! Due to unprecedented temperature spikes in the weather as well as the fact that we’ve heard from a lot of our Yoga and Pilates students that they are taking advantage of the long holiday weekend to spend time with family and friends, we’ve decided to move tomorrow’s class to our studio instead of the First St. Plaza on 6th St. The class will still be FREE to all and we invite you to bring a friend or two!

Yoga Love

My name is Silvia. I am a yoga teacher, holistic massage therapist, an entrepreneur of sorts and most importantly of all, mother to an amazing young man who chases his own dreams with nothing short of passion! My yoga journey began after sustaining two separate shoulder injuries. I set out to find a way of healing my body, but soon found that yoga was healing much more than just my physical injuries. The changes that were taking place were much more profound.

After falling in love with yoga, I found that I wanted to share the yoga love (as they say) with as many people as I could in my own community of Tracy. I took a leap of faith and opened the first yoga studio in Tracy, Flow Yoga Studio. I’ve made it my passion to share the joy and healing (inside and out) that yoga has brought into my life. These days, my motto has become “Do everything with good intention.”
