For years I suffered from constant, paralyzing pain.
It started from a spinal injury, then snowballed into more and more pain over the years, and not just in my back. I started having hemiplegic migraines every 2 weeks. When these episodes happened, I would be knocked down for 3 days before I could even get out of bed, and then it would be several more days before the dizziness left and I felt "normal." It was so difficult to care for my children when there were days that I could not even care for myself, get out of bed, or be near light or sound. If it wasn't for my super supportive husband and close family, I don't know what I would have done. I had gotten mononucleosis in college and my need for sleep was insane. Not getting 8-9 hours of sleep was one of the triggers for my migraines. That's difficult to get when breastfeeding and taking care of toddlers.
My digestion had been messed up since I had taken low dose antibiotics for acne years before and it seemed there was nothing to be done to fix it - sometimes the cramps made me feel like I was dying. I developed severe allergies and was sick a lot, my allergies causing bronchitis every spring and fall. I had low energy every day, dragging to make it to the end of the day, falling asleep at weird times. In the midst of this, I was barely surviving motherhood. The toilet and I had a love/hate relationship through my pregnancies and I was insanely jealous of those pregnant moms who were just a little nauseous in the morning or not at all.
I felt powerless when my toddlers and growing children were not well, and would run to the doctor for everything, thinking he had the answers, but time and time again, that was not the case - especially when he wouldn't listen to my intuition - which ended up being right most of the time. When one child would get sick, they would all go down. My son's asthma was a daily concern and I worried that he would stop breathing at any moment. His meds made him aggressive, angry, and violent.
Overwhelmed and exhausted, I knew there had to be a better way. I started integrating some diet and lifestyle choices and found some products that brought me out of that unhealthy place, that gave me solutions, that gave me hope! Some of these things caused immediate miracles! I still cry when I think about the change they brought about in my body! Some had a more gradual effect. The healthy lifestyle I was creating for my family began to work on all of us.
The pain that used to plague me is now gone. I no longer have the incapacitating episodes that last several days. I am now well all year long - along with my kids! If one does happen to get sick, that's where it stops - no more dropping like flies. My digestion is working much more smoothly, and I feel so good! Healthy digestion has now become an obsession for me! And guess what?! Digestion is directly linked to lung health and immunity!
I no longer fall asleep at the dinner table! I have so much more energy which I need to keep up with my 7 children and all their activities! I feel so empowered now that I have solutions to every day issues without needing outside help. My lungs (and my son's) are in a healthy place I never thought possible before, he is now an amazing athlete! I not only survived pregnancy and breastfeeding, but I learned to thrive through it!
