The specialty of Internal Medicine includes primary care for adults (coughs, colds, sprains, etc.) as well as an in depth knowledge of metabolic disorders including hypertension, heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, lung diseases, and other disorders of the internal organs. Internists undergo seven years of training to achieve certification by the American Board o
f Internal Medicine. Dr. Seitz graduated (with Distinction) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he also attended medical school. Dr. Seitz then completed his Residency and Chief Residency at the University of California San Francisco affiliate California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is active on the medical staff of Sutter Tracy Community Hospital where he has served on multiple committees, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and Chief of Staff. We are continually striving to stay abreast of current scientific and technological advances, including an electronic medical record, electronic prescribing, and patient messaging systems. Dr. Seitz is married and the father of seven; he resides in Tracy and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and guitar. He is the Medical Director of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Tracy which provides no cost services to support women and children with difficulties surrounding pregnancy and birth. Dr. Seitz has been voted as one of the best physicians in Tracy five years in a row. Our office staff is known as one of the most compassionate and efficient in Tracy.
