To the Kuyas.
I thought I would share these pictures, with all of us that frequented "THE BROWN JUG".
Pictures were taken at the Tex's 50th Anniversary gathering in 2010.

On this day, April 28, 2003, we were in the process of wrapping up the first Kuya Reunion in St. Louis organized by Don and Connie Orbin. The reunion was a great success with lots of war stories and new adventures like getting stuck in the hotel elevator. I'm posting the Kuya Group photo as a memory of our brotherhood and enduring friendship and to remind everyone that our next reunion will be September 9th-13th in Kansas City, Missouri. With deep sadness and sympathy, Bob Harris' wife of many years, Joanne, passed away yesterday morning at their home. Joanne accompanied Bob to some of the Kuya reunions. Bob and Joanne were married for nearly 51 years. She was fortunate to have been with Bob and surrounded by 7 grandkids, their 3 kids, her brother and 2 sisters for 3 days prior to her passing. Please keep Si Bob and the family in your thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace."

With deep sadness and sorrow, SMSgt Marvin Campbell passed away yesterday afternoon after a lengthy illness. Marv was a special man to all of us and at some point in our tour and later at the 6922nd SW Reunions, we shared our unique experiences. Marv, as Mission Supervisor, was our de facto leader. He was close to the troops, a father figure to many. He is now reunited with Ma Bea where he has wanted to be since her passing in 2015. Rest in Peace, Marv! You will be missed.

For anyone who would like to send a Get Well card or flowers, Marv's address as follows:

Marvin Campbell
1045 Brush Valley Rd
Sunbury, PA 17801-7503

I'm sure he and Cindy would appreciate the gesture.

If you haven't heard, Marv Campbell has taken ill. His daughter, Cindy, called Hippo to let him know she was on her way to Pennsylvania to be with him. She told Hippo that Marv had lost 10 pounds (not good for him) and had prostate cancer. Please take a moment during this difficult time and say a prayer for Marv. Keep him and Cindy in your thoughts and prayers.

Every one of these announcements becomes harder. With deepest sympathy, Carol Chapital passed away of an abdominal aneurysm on Wednesday, February 12th. Our thought and prayer go out to her family.

Here's Lulu's email:

Kuyas and Kuyettes,

It is with a very heavy heart that I pass along to you this sad note on the passing of Carol Chapital on Wednesday in Virginia. Carol went to the hospital complaining of abdominal pain and died shortly after arriving of a catastrophic aneurysm.

Many of us were fortunate enough to know Carol and her late husband, Harmon “Chap” Chapital. Chap was a 202 on Able Flight and was perhaps most well known for having brought a duck known as Rufus into the barracks where he lived in the latrine until the duck was discovered by the first shirt. Chap died of cancer some years ago and is buried in Arlington and Carol will be buried next to Chap, as she is also a Veteran.

I will keep you informed, as more details are made available.
