EXCITING NEWS!!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT:
To honor Douglas Gallagher, the family requested that memorial contributions (made to DSANM) be used to provide scholarships for our members with Down syndrome to attend OpenSpot Theatre!! So gracious!!!

The first round will be for the February 2026 session - don't wait - sign up right away!!!

Feb 10, 17 & 24, Mar 3, 10 & 17 from 6:00-7:00pm
NEW, in-town location:
Friends of the Light Quaker House, 206 S Oak St, TC

March 17th will be the Showcase, where students will show off what they have learned! It will be a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired performance the students will write and perform!

Simply let her know the name of the member participating,
provide proof of payment, and the $25 scholarship can be released to OpenSpot.

Last night, at the City of Traverse City City Commission meeting, our Mayor - Amy Shamroe, proclaimed October 2025 as Down Syndrome Awareness month in the City of Traverse City! This proclamation shares with the community that those with Down syndrome are a vital part of our town, and just like all of us, want to be part of the community.
