If you’ve ever visited the Munson Medical Center cafeteria for a meal or a snack and left behind a pizza crust or that last bite of your sandwich, you probably didn't realize you’re also helping to feed the livestock belonging to one of Munson’s nursing team members!

Mark your calendars for two exciting TJCC events!

Registration is now open for the Northern Lights Fun Run 5k Sept. 19!

Early registration for the Northern Michigan HIV Summit is open now, as well. Keynote speaker will be Karen Daley, PhD, RN, FAAN. Daley spent more than 25 years in clinical practice at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She practiced for more than 22 years in the BWH emergency department until January of 1999 when she left due to a needlestick injury that resulted in her infection with both HIV and hepatitis C. Since that time, she has been actively engaged on state, national and international levels, in her ongoing campaign to educate nurses, students, health care administrators and legislators on the importance of needlestick injury prevention.

Medication & Sharps Disposal Event

This is your opportunity to properly dispose of unused/expired medication and your sharps/needles! Sharps must be in either a laundry detergent jug, taped shut, and labeled sharps OR in a standard red sharps container. FREE sharps containers will also be available. *NOTE: creams and liquids will not be accepted*
