Starting a new year with a small biz (1 women run and owned.. Me..) that is only 3ish years old is both exciting and incredible stressful... especially when the economy is a bit iffy.

I try to start each new year with goals and base those goals on ones I set the year before. So far this year I haven't had a chance to sit down and evaluate numbers and set any goals but I am very pleased to say that 2026 has started with a feeling of "keep going, you are doing something right!".

I have been trying hard to find "my place" and grow slow enough for me to keep up but fast enough that I can, maybe, not have to work any side jobs to keep The Wynter Rose afloat.

One avenue I am trying to venture deeper into is wholesale. Wholesale can be a gamble sometimes but it is much easier than trying to maintain inventory in various consignment based store fronts which in turn gives me more free time to sell in person and spend more time in the studio learning and designing new products. As well as spread The Wynter Rose around the U.S. and breakout of my little Michigan comfort zone.

As of December 2025 I had only two wholesale accounts. Yes, two is more than zero... This is a motto I use for everything from poor sale days to amount of pasta I have in the cupboard 😆 something is ALWAYS better than nothing!... I am excited to say that as of today The Wynter Rose now has 5 wholesale accounts!!🎉

Without sitting down and evaluating anything a goal has already been set! Though, I need to decide how many wholesale accounts I would like by the end of the year, tonight I am feeling pretty blessed!

Thank you too everyone that keeps me moving forward. Thank you too my cheerleaders. Thank you too my mentors that give me knowledge to grow and faith that I can!

I know this is a bit long winded but ever word is worth saying! I'm ending the day on a small high and hope it continues thru 2026!

Rise and shine to a new product...maybe... Today starts the "test round" to make sure it is what I want it to be. Fingers crossed 🤞 I mean, I am sure I will have to modify it at least twice which is kinda the fun part!
