As our summer season at French Manor is coming to an end, we would like to take a moment to appreciate the delightful experiences we have shared with our residents, staff, and family members. This summer has been filled with enjoyable activities, including outdoor music, gardening, chair yoga, and so much more.
We even wrapped up the season with our annual BBQ, which was another great success. We extend our heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who helped make these events possible!
As we transition into the next season, we are excited to embrace all things fall and fun! Please stay tuned for the date of our Annual Trunk or Treat event!

We have officially reached the midpoint of summer. Our residents have been engaged in a variety of summer activities, including music entertainment, chair exercises, gardening and so much more! We also celebrated twelve birthdays this month!

Additionally, we had a special visit from the local ice cream truck today. Our residents love their ice cream!

At French Manor Terra, we are committed to providing our residents with a wide range of daily and weekly activities. We are pleased to continue offering such enriching experiences to our residents!

Happy 4th of July to all. We hope you have a safe and delightful holiday weekend. Throughout the week, our residents have been participating in cherry-filled activities, wrapping up with patriotic dessert treats.

With the scorching heat wave that kicked off summer of 2025, our residents have been staying active by engaging in our outdoor and summer activities. From starting our fascinating exploration of the Monarch Butterfly’s metamorphosis to the joyful laughter around the fire, and even the unexpected outdoor Chair Yoga session before the rain, our residents have embraced the season. When the rain came, we improvised and hosted an indoor field day. We are committed to our resident engagement and involvement, and with the warm season finally here, we can’t wait to share all the exciting activities we have planned!

Last Saturday's Classic Car Showcase at the French Manor was fantastic! It was great to see everybody who showed up to hang out with Charlie D! Our Radio Choice Award winner was Jim Henry with his 1938 Indian! Don't miss our next stop on June 29th in downtown TC during the National Cherry Festival! Our 2025 Car Show is in the books and this one was the best yet! Perfect weather, great food and tremendous support from the community made this years event a huge success!

Our Terra residents and families loved all the cars this year! So many families mentioned that these cars brought back a lot of memories! This is main reason we put on these events! To put smilies on our residents faces and to bring our families together!

A huge shout out to Mary our activities director. She has put in so many hours handing out flyers at other events, finding volunteers and so much more. She was the key person that made this all happen! Also a big thanks to Rachel our activities assistant, my sister Aly who also helped organize everything and made the shirts, our kitchen staff and all the caregiving staff for working together! We have the best team!

Lastly I want fo thank a few businesses that partnered with us to make event a huge success:

-WCCW Radio station for the live broadcast and advertisement. Everyone loved the great music!

-Hospice of Michigan for the food donations and multiple volunteers that helped today. The volunteers were amazing and a huge help loving on our residents.

-Aurora Long Term Care Pharmacy for all of the drink donations and continuous support.

-Sam's Club for food donations

Thank you again to everyone who participated in our event this year whether you brought a car or came to spectate. Either way you made our residents so happy today! We look forward so seeing everyone next year for an even bigger and better event!

Happy first week of June!

Our residents are certainly enjoying the warm weather that has gradually made its presence known. To embrace the weather, we got to plant in our garden beds, make bird feeders, and we even organized an outdoor scavenger hunt!

We thrive on community interaction within our French Manor residents.

Happy Friday, everyone!

We extend our warmest wishes to everyone for a wonderful memorable Memorial Weekend! Our residents have engaged in a variety of enriching and fulfilling activities throughout the week, from sensory experiences to outdoor activities and even a Bee Day Social! To wrap up the week we enjoyed music performance by John Denner Music!

As winter progresses in Northern Michigan and the snow continues to accumulate, our residents have been staying indoors and keeping busy in many fulfilling and engaging ways throughout February. This month, we have worked hard to ensure that we had another exciting month filled with activities and events. Our residents and families enjoyed multiple musical performances, our monthly chair yoga, and a successful Valentine's Day social. Our community is always expanding, and the faces we see in our halls are sometimes new. However, here at French Manor Terra, we are more than just a community... we are a family. If you know someone who could use some extra care or if you're planning for the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Happy New Year!

Everyone here at French Manor Terra has been staying warm and active as we embrace the chilly weather this month.

Our activities director has introduced a variety of new activities and events this month. From human "Hungry Hungry Hippo" to Cinnamon Roll making, we strive to provide a variety of activities to keep all our residents busy. We continue to provide chair yoga and music performances every week which tend to be our residents favorite activities!

We also offer smaller activities like our resident murals, coloring games, card games and much more. We continue to think creatively to engage both our memory care and assisted living residents. Finding a balance between these two levels of care can sometimes be challenging, but we are always striving to think bigger and constantly improve our daily activity's.

Our team here at Terra, eagerly anticipates the opportunities that 2025 will bring. Each year presents us with the chance to grow and learn. With that we can prioritize the quality of life for your loved ones. We are so thankful to love and care for each and every resident and a family here a Terra!

As we reflect on the past year and anticipate another remarkable year at French Manor, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible community we have cultivated both within our establishment and throughout the local area. Each individual has contributed to making a positive impact within our organization, and the cherished memories created with residents, staff, and loved ones have significantly shaped the atmosphere we strive to be.
We sincerely thank all our entertainers, volunteers, and supporters who dedicated their time this year to spread joy and positivity among our community. We eagerly look forward to the upcoming year and are committed to introducing new and innovative activities for everyone to enjoy.

The snow has fallen, and the holiday season is fast approaching. For all of us at French Manor, this signifies our commitment to immersing our residents in the holiday spirit through various activities and events.

Today, we concentrated on engaging our memory care residents, enhancing their hand-eye coordination while utilizing their memory to follow simple instructions in our marshmallow game!
