I love sharing some of the things that keep me busy when I’m not at work 🫶🏻

So here are some gems from the 2026 Daddy-Daughter dance last night. I love helping my girls get dolled up and definitely shed a few tears over how grown up our Stella is looking all of a sudden. Since she’s in 5th grade, it was her last daddy-daughter dance and wondered out loud how many more times he’ll dance with her before her wedding someday😭❤️

Had a great time hanging out with some of my besties while wrangling kids after the dance- love you girls!

So grateful for this life🙏🏻❤️

It’s been far too long since we’ve done a Mohs Monday! 💉

Sometimes, clearing the cancer is the easy part.

This gentleman had a Basal Cell Carcinoma on his superior helix. Once cancer was completely removed with Mohs surgery, this defect required a wedge repair for optimum cosmetic outcome.

Sometimes, larger repairs, like his, are all about trusting the process. As you can see, after 8 months, there is little to no evidence of the procedure!

Pro tip ☝🏼: Always remember to apply your SPF to the ears and reach for a wide brimmed hat. Skin cancer on the ears is way more common than you would think!

Dr. Laurel Leithauser opened the Skin Cancer and Dermatology Center in Traverse City on July 9, 2018 with the goal of providing comprehensive, compassionate and accessible dermatologic care to all patients who come through the door. Dr. Leithauser is a board-certified dermatologist, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and procedural dermatologist, and her main interests are skin cancer treatment, surgical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Anthony Van Vreede, also a board-certified dermatologist, grew up in Traverse City and was interested in returning to TC after practicing in the Detroit area for several years. Dr. Van Vreede and his practice, V Dermatology, have been a wonderful addition to our dermatology family. Our practices aim to provide the best care possible for any and all dermatologic concerns.
