Fall sports have begun! Glasses are hard to fit under a football helmet, can slip down your nose when running cross country or get knocked off your face with a volleyball. Contact lenses are easy and hassle free and can make good vision easier for your child during their sport. Do you have a unique job or hobby that would require a special pair of glasses? This is our patient Joan, and as you can see, she plays the harp 🎶 Every year at her exam, she rolls her harp in for Dr. Bekah to trial lens her “music glasses” to dial in the prescription just right for reading her music and seeing the harp strings.

A lot of the time, one pair of glasses doesn’t fit the bill for all the ways you use your eyes on a day to day basis. A second pair made just for you can be very helpful 🤓

Got a red, swollen, uncomfortable bump on your eyelid that won't go away? It is common for stye's to be persistent, but that is because most people miss the boat with their home treatment. The trick is using high heat to liquify the clog in the infected gland and then manually expressing the blockage. Part of our new system at the office is radio frequency, which allows for direct heat treatment to the stye and a much quicker resolution.

Training day! Dr. Bekah perfected her skills with a multiple hour training. She treated watery eyes, rosacea and sun spots all with great success. Before and after photos to come!

To wrap up our introductions, meet me, Dr. Bekah. I am the captain of this crazy, and wonderfully fun, Full Spectrum Eye Care ship. I have been practicing optometry for 17 years. I started my career practicing with my Dad, which has been my greatest professional joy to date. I perform general optometry for all ages, but specialize in developmental vision and pediatrics. I also have a passion for dry eye, which is why I have invested in a new piece of technology that will be a game changer for dry eye treatment in my office. In addition to treating dry eye, this technology will also give you clearer, more comfortable vision with an added benefit of esthetically looking your best!

When I am not here at the office, I have two amazing kids that I love spending time with. We enjoy being outside, hiking and going to the beach.
