Life Beyond Barriers Rehabilitation Group is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant with adult and pediatric rehabilitation experience to provide services in our Traverse City clinic. This is an ideal position for a physical therapist assistant who is passionate and motivated to provide exceptional care to our clients.
Desired Experience & Skills
Neurological rehabilitation experience with the diagnoses of spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accident, neuro-degenerative disorders, and other neurological conditions.
Orthopedic rehabilitation experience with the diagnoses of joint replacement, joint pain, spinal disorders, overuse injuries, repetitive strain conditions, and other orthopedic conditions.
Pediatric rehabilitation experience with the diagnoses of cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, genetic disorders, and other neurological conditions.
Ability to be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Manage and maintain effective working relationships with referral sources, including physicians, vendors, and other community partners.
Provide a positive impact on meeting and exceeding satisfaction and expectations outcomes for clients and their families/caregivers.
Primary Responsibilities for Position:
Collaboration with physical therapists to implement a plan of care with an incorporation of an intensive, therapy program based on evaluation findings and goals.
Provide innovative therapy in order to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
Prepare and/or contribute to the preparation of essential documentation, including, but not limited to: daily treatment notes, monthly progress reports, discharge summaries.
Promote and assist in the implementation of programs and procedures with the goal of facilitation and maintenance of the LBBRG innovative approach toward neurorehabilitation.
Consistently demonstrate professional and ethical behavior in diverse situations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a physical therapist assistant, preferably with both adult and pediatric clients
Associate degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
A current, unrestricted license as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Michigan

Clinic Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30p
